Whenever I restart my maxed out 15” MacBook Pro, the date and time constantly get reset. I’m thinking that this is a NVRAM issue, so I’ll be trying a NVRAM reset later. I was just wondering if there was any sort of CMOS Battery or something along those lines that make sure that the NVRAM settings are saved, since I’m not too sure what to do if a NVRAM reset doesn’t work.
There’s no backup battery in your Macbook, thus time and date reset every time power is removed from the board. You have a very peculiar issue there as if power would completely disappear for a short time at boot. I would also try resetting the SMC, by pressing shift+ctrl+option+power button all together with Mac turned off and battery charging. Hope that may fix the glitch.
