Hi, this is Samsung 32’ FHD TV. The issue started with a small vertical line. Its black. You can also see the spot on bottom. It has increased over last 6 months and I think will continue increasing. Samsung technician suggested to replace whole panel or rather buy a new TV. Can someone suggest if this can not be repaired at all? Additionally, can any other cheaper LED FHD panel replace this faulty panel if repair is not possible? Thanks,
@xploreraj … this is panel failure. the dead give away is the blob on the bottom of the display. it will continue to grow. To fix, the panel will need to be replaced. ( typically uneconomical to do so) you could theoretically replace it with another screen the same size, however… you would need adapters for the displays driver boards ribbon cables to be able to connect with the sets tcon board connectors. this is very tedious work and will need technical fine tuning… not worth it i.m.o. Best bet would be to find the exact screen or replace the set as it would be more economical.
