Chosen Solution I think my fan has dust in it; how do I get the dust out? Julia, While computer apart do not just clean the fan, clean every thing you can using a can of compressed air, this will ensure proper cleaning and reduce damaging heat build up on internal components. Chosen Solution My wireless switch does not work very well. The wireless card appears to be fine, but the on/off switch is not working. I would like to permanently keep this on. The problem, this is a micro switch on the main board. So, other than super glue and perhaps proverbial, or literal, duct tape I am not sure how to do this. Any suggestions? Well the board will be surface mounted so you can’t solder it....

Chosen Solution Ive been searching all of the internet for parts but have not been able to find any that would fix my problem. My macbook pro screen frame is cracked on both sides at the very bottom ( my screen is no longer able to hold it self up) I have not been able to find the part that would fix this except for the complete display package. I know that this would be a relatively cheap fix and it has been very upsetting not being able to find this part....

Chosen Solution My hard drive is making a noise that sounds to me like a bearing about to fail. The noise will stop if I pat the bottom of the case–like burping a baby. I shut it down, bought a 500 GB external drive, backed up everything, and have heard the noise only once since–48+ hours ago. Chosen Solution I recently dropped my MBP, it fell from my table to the floor in about 1.5 meters I picked it up and it was still on but the screen behaved like it was in an out of range frequency. I forced a shut down by pressing the power button. I tried starting again and it did start but was slow as ^^&$. Otherwise it looked OK from the outside, no bigger damages on the outside....

Chosen Solution When I turn camera on, error LO3 is displayed. kofahl4 the L03 error code refers to a lens alignment and/or calibration issue. This will be a difficult DIY problem since it will require the service manual which is tough to come by.

Chosen Solution My laptop been overheating and the fans were making loud noises so i bought new fans and replaced it. But it still overheats and makes noise. What am i doing wrong? is there anything to fix it? I’ve had this problem on some of the machines with liquid heat sinks. I found it when I went to change the thermal paste. There was a slightly oily residue on the logic board and I figured out the heat sink had leaked and was not doing the job anymore....

Chosen Solution I have a 21.5” 2017 iMac which has an Apple blade SSD (SM0512L) fitted. I have removed the screen from the iMac and the 2.5” drive is totally empty. I was thinking of mounting a 2.5” SATA SSD in this drive bay, but I am not sure if the SATA connector is in place. Please be informed that all your data will be lost if you do reformat. You can get a windows password disk and go that way if you have data you want to recover but its faster and easier to reformat....

Please help! @wilkeyeverett the lid lock and switch are together in one part. It requires 120 VAC to activate the lock. The approximate resistance of the lock coil is 70 ohm from Red – Violet from J512 board connector. Checking between Red and Yellow wire at the same board connector will show the continuity of the lid switch....

To avoid throwing guesses and parts at your truck, have the truck scanned for trouble codes as a first step. Some of the auto parts suppliers offer free code reading like Pepboys, Nappa, Advanced auto parts,etc and some of the guys are very knowledgeable and may have seen the issue often and put you on the right track....

Chosen Solution The gravity drain adapted is connected and has been working okay. Recently it started to drain to the bucket by way of another drain outlet There may be some sort of blockage in the hose so it is diverting the water to the catch bin . Is the drain hose to your humidifier clear? Try disconnecting it and blowing air through it to see if theres a blockage

Latosha, not sure what you have tried yet. the first thing I would do is, what Luke suggested. That is always a good start. Also make sure that you unplug any devices that are plugged into the in/out/ ports of your TV. After that, it is time to dismantle your TV....

Chosen Solution It’s not a mystery that large amounts of dust are being accumulated inside the fan, the heat sink and the rear vent. That said, I want to point out that now my MacBook is working at 65-70ºC with the fan at +4000 RPM with normal use (iTunes, internet, Mail or Microsoft Office), until 1 year ago it usually was at 50-55ºC @ 2000-2800 RPM. with normal use, I can’t even just play a game or encode a video, it goes up to 97ºC with the fan at 6000rpm and it freezes, from being working at 70ºC @4000RPM one year ago....

Chosen Solution When to the store and returned to the car. Door was not locked, but I remember hitting the lock button on my keychain. I opened the trunk first with no problem. When I opened the door the horn started honking. Started the car and it continued. Stopped, put in park, opened and closed the trunk. Started driving home with it still going. Tires look good, didn’t see any parking lot damage....
