I changed it twice then changed the entire charging port.. still no home button working and now my phone is stuck on press home button to upgrade after iTunes iOS upgrade.. is there any place on the logic board that control the home button ?? Chosen Solution I have a printer without an ink cartridge. How do I insert the new one? Update When I lifted the black lid I couldn’t see the cartridges, they were hidden at the far right of the carriage. It wasn’t until I switched it on and off a few times that the cartridges returned to the centre position. This made it easy to replace them. Thank you for your advice....

Today it got stuck in a boot loop suddenly, I tried to restore/update it while in DFU but everything goes normal until the progress bar for the update appears on the screen then the phone automatically restarts to DFU. Chosen Solution Device would not power on.. I replaced battery, charging port & screen. It still will not power on. Do you have any insight as why the phone died; drop, previous repair attempt…water? That would give us a clue as to where you start. Try booting just the board, known-good battery and Lightning port. Then connect it to an iTunes enabled computer. If it is recognized, then some peripheral is causing issues....

Then suddenly i see bold black line at display. It is nearly 1/10 of display. Chosen Solution My iMac display goes black a lot but if you were to shine your phone light at the screen you can actually still see the stuff on the scree and changing the dim does nothing. Somedays it works and other weeks the backlight wont come on. It originally started doing this after an update about a year ago. It would sometimes start up in safe mode for a bit and then go black again....

More memory? autolitre there is really no upgrade for the memory. all you can do is replace your logicboard with one that has a larger capacity. If you are already maxed out,i.e. AT&T at 32GB then there is nothing you can do. Check on here to see what ifixit has currently in stock. Well…sorta. I mean you gotta pay for a whole new board....

Chosen Solution I dropped the IPOD on a tile floor…it went black and couldn’t turn in…nothing,,,,now I do get a white screen every now and then but nothing else…can it be fixed??? it may just be a loose connection, but you’ll need to open it to check. they are pretty robust screens, as they are well protected by the glass surface, and the metal bezel around the outside, but it could have caused damage to the hard drive inside… you won’t know without opening it though....
