Chosen Solution I spilled a small amount of water on the lower scream of my dsi and now it’s not turning on. I messed around with it to see if it might turn on if I held it at different angles, charger/no charger ect. but it never did. I left it charging for a few days and it came back on (without me hitting the button) like nothing was wrong but it wouldn’t turn off....
Chosen Solution Today I tried to use my Dymo ML 193C to print with a genuine Dymo nylon cartridge. Instead of the label coming out of the end, it got drawn up into the feeder roller and wound round and round. After multiple retries, repairing the cartridge multiple times and trying another cartridge with the standard tape, I’m finding the same thing happens every time now. I did find a little sticky-backed foam strip, which I guess came off the machine during the first incident, but it’s not clear where it goes or how this could make the difference....
Chosen Solution I can not hear the speak when calling up, and I can not end the call otherwise than shotting the phone down. Has the screen been replaced before? Sounds like an replacement screen not sticked on properly particularly at the top. If the gap is too wide from the proximity sensor you will get issues like this. Also the earpiece speaker it either got damaged when screen got replaced or is not contacting the two points on the logic board....
Chosen Solution Hi! My iMac 19,1 is painfully-slow, due to it’s Fusion-Drive. I have read a lot on these and other forums about disconnecting Fusion-drives, to replace the PCIe/NVMe and/or HDD with new SSDs (PCIe/NVMe + SATA). I’ve read that it’s possible to disconnect the Fusion Drive either by booting from a USB media, or Time-Machine backup, or by being fast at POST and, invoking the Recovery Console, finding the exact designation of both disks, and then using this and following the command-line syntax to ‘break’ the Fusion apart....
Chosen Solution Hi iFixt, My iMac is now running great, much faster after installing new SSD kit (order number UK-473475). But… the fan seems to be running on full speed (screen shot diagnostics attached). I did attach the new thermal sensor you provided. I did give the inside a good spray with compressed air, maybe that’s the cause ??? Ouch. Any help would be much appreciated. About a week ago, we found the old macbook from two years ago and decide to try and charge it, to see if it will work. Lo and behold the macbook started up and we where able to retrieve all of the data on the HD....

Chosen Solution Bought a Toshiba MQ01ABD100 Media drive from iFixit for my mid-2009 MacBook Pro 13" (It is the exact same model that my local MacStore installed a couple years ago.) Using various how-to’s around the internet (since the iFixit how-to is for an older OS X), I successfully made a bootable USB drive and booted off it. Chosen Solution The charging port only works after manipulating the cord continuously… What can I do to fix the problem? terry nuchols, the port is soldered to the motherboard. You will have to remove the board, follow this guide and than solder a new port on the board. Check this video to see what needs to be done.

Chosen Solution I successfully replaced the screen on my iPod Nano 6th Gen. However, I am not sure how to affix the screen to the device. Is there a particular adhesive that works best? I’ve tried both methods on the nano 6G. super glue is a great bond but nearly impossible to open again. 3M double sided tape works best - strong bond, yet can still be opened in the future....
Chosen Solution My iPod died. Recharged it and when it turned on the date is at Jan 1970. I obviously have never had it that long. It is maybe 6 years old. Can’t seem to get it back to curret date That date is the default if the iPod loses complete power. You can manually change the date/time by going to Settings>General>Date & Time>Set Date & Time. If your iPod is six years old, you may want to consider replacing the battery, as it likely doesn’t hold as much of a charge as it used to....

Chosen Solution My wife’s iBook problem began with the screen shutting off while plugged in to the AC adapter. Tried different adapters and isolated the battery as dead and not holding charge. New battery works fine but now I notice what may have helped kill the first battery. When different AC adapters are plugged in to verify it’s not the adapter, we sometimes see the charging/battery symbol randomly flicker from one to the other and the screen seems to very slightly dim in synch....
