Chosen Solution A few days ago, I dropped my TI-82 Stats calculator. At the same time, the batteries ran out, so I’m not quite sure which of them caused the problem. Anyways, when I had inserted new batteries, the screen had thick glitched vertical lines that obscure every other character. The “glitched” lines mostly look like a “ladder”-pattern, but there is a thicker line in the middle, what looks like noise to the far left, and there are some missing pixels here and there....

You can use a blow dryer on low setting to carefully heat up the earpads, then use a plastic spudger and pry them off (there is only adhesive holding them on....

Chosen Solution I replaced my taptic engine, and then my home button stopped working. Did I damage the cable? I can’t see any physical dammage to any connectors, and I reseated them but still nothing. There is a chance you damaged the home button cable to plugs into the logic board. It can be damaged while opening or closing the screen. If the cable pulls at all when you open the phone it can tear slightly and cause issues....

Chosen Solution I place my laptop on a laptop stand when using it. After several hours of use, the upper right corner over keyboard next to adapter input slot becomes very hot. It sounds as though the fan is on. When I attempt to type, the characters drag behind (slow to populate). I turn the computer off for a few minutes and turn it back on and no problem. Again after several hours of use, the same symptoms present themselves....

Chosen Solution The soft rubber part of the pairing button tore apart when it was pressed too hard with a sharp instrument, and now it seems that the button mechanism on the inside is broken since I am not able to press the button anymore at all. There is an empty space where the button used to be. I have not attempted any repair or taken anything apart yet. I was hoping that this could be fixed....

Chosen Solution How come the analog hand sometimes is off the correct time? If the watch is involved in heavy physical activity, sometimes the analog hands would be slightly misplaced, simply pull out the crown and re-adjust.

Chosen Solution I left my galaxy s6 in my bag with a water bottle and the charger. i opened it a few minutes later to see that the water bottle openned up and wet my phone and charger. i dried the charger then removed the phonecase and dried it. i soaked it in rice and didnt try to turn it on. i checked the charger on another phone and it worked( which gives some hope that phone isnt damaged) ....

Chosen Solution Hi guys, After being exposed to rain, my iBook could only run of battery and would not charge, with the connector light staying off. AC plug works fine on other Computers. Diagnosed that DC-in board was dead, bought a new one and installed it. All went well, till I plugged the mac in. First light on connector went Green for about 1/2s, then Amber, then Red. Then a little explosion sound followed and the smell of burnt electronics rose from the DC-in board....

Chosen Solution While pulling out the DC charging port connector on the logic board during a repair, I stupidly pulled out the entire socket that was soldered to the board. The pins and the socket are still intact (see photo), but obviously the laptop will NOT charge until reconnected… Is it possible to re-solder the socket to the pins and the board? And, I’m in Chicago. Where is the appropriate place for that specific repair?...

Chosen Solution I was replacing the back of an iPhone 7 Plus for a friend cus he bananad his phone. After a really clean disassembly and assembly right before I put the last two Shields on (by the camera for the lcd connector and the other by the battery pin connector) I wanted to make sure the phone would power up. It Turned it on but… I turned the phone off like normal and in the process of putting on the last shield (by the battery pin connector) I dropped a screw on the bored and saw a little spark (yes, I forgot to disconnect the battery for this last step!...

Chosen Solution My little sister dropped my iPad 2 on the floor. The colors on the screen are a bit out of their normal color. The screen looks a bit also like an old version of a t.v. with scratching lines. The keyboard is green. Once you unlock the iPad the screen looks like the colors of a 3-D screen. Chosen Solution Do i need to use torque limiters to install my wheel lug nuts? Hi @s650, What is the make and model and year of the vehicle? Most vehicle manufacturers specify the torque settings for the wheel nuts so as to not have them over tightened. Sometimes it is shown in the specs in the owner manual but mostly not. It is usually found in the service repair manual for the vehicle though....

Unlike other Intel CPU’s this one does not offer its own graphics engine Intel Core 2 Duo Processor P8600 which can confuse people....
