Chosen Solution A few months ago the plug to my headphones bent. I didn’t think it was too serious of an issue so I continued to use them in my laptop. Eventually, though, the plug snapped in half while in my laptop’s headphone jack and I still haven’t gotten around to taking it in to get fixed. I’ve read all the DIY hacks that involve the risk of getting glue stuck in the jack as well as the plug, so that’s not what I’m looking for anymore....

Chosen Solution After upgrading Mac to High Sierra, my external disk becomes uninitialized (don’t know the exact cause) and is not working as before. Please provide me the solution to fix this uninitialized disk and how can I restore data from it. 10.13 uses a new drive structure called APFS. Chosen Solution A few months ago one morning i found my dell laptop not opening (no power). I took it to a local shop and after through checking they told me that a mild explosion or something occurred inside it and burnt down some chips. They finally able to turn the power on but no display was showing as the display ribbon was also damaged and could not find a new one to replace....

Chosen Solution My daughter came to ne with her DSi XL and said it will not turn on. Indeed when you press the button it flashes then turns off. It will turn on when a game is loading, but turns off immediately after. We have removed the battery, cleaned the contacts and fully charged it. There are no rattles in the case and everythign else seems to be in order. I am guessing it is the power board, but that is just a guess....

Chosen Solution Hello, I’d like to replace fan on this NAS but don’t know how to take down the case without the breakage. Any ideas? This thing has only been out two years. How old is yours, it may be covered under warranty. I am not finding any info on repairing it, no teardown, The Wiki states: My Cloud relies on air convection for cooling, without a fan. I was replacing the ear speaker on my iphone 8 plus and there was a lot of dirt in the grills so i cleaned it with this liquid especially for the cleaning of electronics and unfortunately some of the liquid got trapped between the display. It was a lighter stain that you could see mostly on a white surface from a 40 degree angle....

Chosen Solution I need to replace the digitizer on my phone. After taking apart the phone and getting to the inside of the digitizer, I noticed that it doesn’t come out from the inside. I don’t want to push the digitizer from the inside of the screen towards the top of the phone because I think i will break the glass. Chosen Solution Do both the fans in a mid 2015 MBPr with a discrete AMD GPU work in conjunction, or is one the CPU fan and one the GPU fan? If so, which fan does which? Each fan is controlled discretely based on what is in need of cooling. You can see this with a good temperature monitoring app like TG Pro. If you suspect you are having a problem I would encourage you to install this app and post a screenshot of what it shows (sensors & fan) so we can try to figure out what’s wrong....

Chosen Solution I have a Duraflame infrared quartz heater 5200 BTU 1500W 12.5 Amps. When The heater is in use,I have noticed that the wire right at the prong connection is getting really hot.I have done electrical work and know this is very bad.It is a 16 GAWG cord,should replace it with a 14 GAWG cord? I’d consider a 12 gauge, but 14 at the minimum and do a web search on the unit for recalls and or harm caused by this machine....

Chosen Solution Hi, The proximity sensor and ear piece aren’t working on my iphone3. I’v replaced the assembly with one from an old iphone and connected up connector 3 several times but its still not working. My next thought is that it is the headphone jack that is the problem, headphones work fine. I was just wondering if there is a way of working out if it is the connector 3 assembly that is the problem or the headphone jack?...

Chosen Solution Dear users, I’m tasked with saving an iPhone SE that’s currently bricked. During boot it will sit on the Apple logo screen and subsequently enter recovery mode on its own. The simple answer would be to flash iOS 12 (it’s currently also running this but trying 11.4.1 yields the same results) back onto the device but during the flashing process iTunes will throw error 6. This happens right as the phone reboots, enters recovery mode, and subsequently shows the first progress bar....

Chosen Solution I had dropped my phone and cracked my display, and it started to have ghost touch. Now, I had just replaced the display and I’m still experiencing ghost touch, but restarting the phone fixes it temporarily. The ghost touch will start again after a few hours. Chosen Solution I have the iKN105 model and the battery is stuck. I’ve tried the pin hole button (even tried hammering a thin metal to see if it could push it out) but didn’t work. I’m trying to take it apart and I got three screws. One under each foot and one where the lithium battery was. Only half of the back comes off but I can’t figure out where other screws might be....

Chosen Solution I’ve launched a game under Windows yesterday, but suddenly after a few seconds fan started spinning at 100%, then screen went black. Post reboot everything is running as normal, temps are ok, performance is good, suspend/resume works, but fan keeps spinning at 100% (2600 rpm). I can still control it with Macs Fan Control. I’ve tried NVRAM RAM reset and unplugging from the socket for a whole night, but doesn’t help....

Chosen Solution I have a 2017 13” MBA that will not power on. Visual inspection shows no liquid damage, and the liquid indicators are still white. There is a component, R40G L27F, that seems to have leaked its contents onto itself, but not onto the MLB. I haven’t been able to find this part by the code. Is this likely what the problem is? I’ve also checked the I/O board, and it doesn’t seem to have blown a fuse, at least by sighting it alone....

Chosen Solution I need to make a replacement part for an industrial toaster and wonder if a 3D printer could be used. A manual on how-to would be great if any one has the experience to write it. So far most of these 3D printers use plastic so if the area you need the part gets hot this won’t work. The other problem here is you need to create the CAD drawing of the part with all of the dimensions to program the printer....

Chosen Solution Trying to eject a thumb drive but a a pop up says, cant eject drive because PREVIEW is open. Command + Tab and select Preview. Command + Q is the universal keyboard shortcut for quit. Command + Escape will bring up the Force Quit box. Do that then quits ant app in the list by clicking on it.
