Chosen Solution Hello Im currently digging into a couple guides on iFixit. I have this iMac stored and I am looking for a solution so I can give it to my daughter for school purposes. (iMac 24”, 2.66, early 2009) - https://everymac.com/systems/apple/imac/… Mine has, obviously, a damaged GPU. I have sent it to a repair shop a few years ago and it worked for a while then it stopped. My question for you all…In case the GPU is badly damaged and out of repair, which GPU can I alternatively look for to put back on this iMac?...

Chosen Solution Hello! I recently found a MBP 15, mid 2010 (2.66 GHz Core i7) in the recycling room of my building and I’m trying to get it to work again. The only problem I could identify is that it doesn’t recognise neither the optical drive nor the internal hard drive. (But it works with hard drive in USB) Looking closely at the logic board, I found 3 capacitors (1, 2, 3 in the pictures) and 1 resistor (4 on the pictures) that seem to be damaged or missing....

Chosen Solution So I have a problem. I repaired my display on my iPhone 6 and I know how to do it perfectly because I worked in a repair store 6 months ago for 2 years and some more experiences. And suddenly now my home button doesn’t work when my phone is sleeping. I can use my power button to wake it and then my home button works perfectly fine. Even when I put it back to sleep, it is working but only for the first 5 seconds....

Chosen Solution So I accidentally broke the needle on my singer chainstitch toy sewing machine. I was wondering how to fix or replace it. I would assume that you can fix it because little kids use it and easily make mistakes like mine. So, any suggestions? Chosen Solution The USB port completely came out. Phone belongs to my better half. I got him a S7 and jus need enough juice to retrieve some data. I’ve disassemble the phone for the most part. I’m a noob and jus looking for some insight on which way to go. Should I try to connect to battery? If so how do I get to the positive and negative terminals? I checked this battery model on Google and i don’t think that is a good idea to give some juice by connecting positive and negative terminals....

Chosen Solution my tablet was working fine untill 30sept2017, then suddenly it start getting on and off continuously. my tablet remain on for just 1 or and half minute and work very fine during that period. I tried to hardware reset, but that too not happening. after hardware reset, I press system reboot and found that NO DATA was erased. Chosen Solution The frame around the optical drive is slightly bent, not in a way you would normally notice. You have to look level across the keyboard to see a slight depression to the right of the trackpad above the CD drive (cd drive slot ever so slightly bent as well). CD/DVDs will not eject unless pressure is applied to bend/straiten the frame slightly. With just with hand pressure around the optical drive area while someone else pushes the eject button....

Chosen Solution Hello fixers! I’m looking for options. The front camera of my Mom’s 5C stopped working, apparently with no real reason. The screen is black when switching to front camera in the Camera app, no specific message. Same with FaceTime, where the caller camera would just be empty (see capture) I’m quite handy and ran some incremental diagnostics: The proximity sensor and the earpiece both work without any issue.I even put a working full display assembly (screen, camera and all) from another working 5C, and it still does not work on my Mom’s phone....

Chosen Solution recently dropped my galaxy s6 G920V and have a black screen (digitizer broken) i need to know if my mother board will swap over to a G920T without connectivity problems or are pins set up differently. i have a lot of info on this phone to retrieve and i’m searching for every possibility, phone is stuck at verizon logo at startup and remains unresponsive but i CAN put it in download mode, not sure about safe mode because of no screen....

Chosen Solution The optical drive is making grinding noises. It did eject the disc inside but the door will no longer open to take a new disc. Am I looking at replacing the drive and the motherboard? The console boots up fine and seems to work otherwise. I bought it from an ebay retailer and is not under waranty, I suppose. First of all if the console came like this you can get your money back....

Chosen Solution N5X has been degrading overtime, but for the most part I felt pretty lucky because I didn’t boot loop like a lot of others. Yesterday I had the android oreo 8.1.0 update and well… Today it happened wouldn’t start at all and it was rebooting endlessly. I left my bootloader unlocked for just this sort of situation, but unfortunately seem to have made things worse for the time being....

Chosen Solution When I plug the patch 5e cat5 cable to the unit I got no connection at all and the apple tv doesn’t see the hard wire connection.But I can go wireless.Please help Check System Preferences->Network to verify that Ethernet service has been added (enabled). You can also verify the system sees it (port is working) from Applications->Utilities-> System Information:Network. Check that the cable is snapped in at both ends, and that the cable is not damage by using another device if possible....

Chosen Solution The headphone jack, microphones, and earpiece are not working. The loudspeaker works fine. These items stopped working after I replaced the screen. I even tried the iPhone 7 dongle from lightning connector to jack and it still doesn’t register headphones but the connector itself works perfectly fine. On some rare occurrence, when I’m tinkering on the inside of the phone and swapping some screws out for other ones, everything would work for about 5 seconds and then it wouldn’t anymore....

The shop told my daughter that the logic board was going bad. I replaced the logic board and upper component cable in the phone, however I still get a blank screen when trying to turn it on. Chosen Solution I recently bought a Galaxy Tab A and I also bought a Micro SD card. I was able to mount it and it shows when I go to storage. How do I access it? Some samsung devices have an app called my files that you can use to browse both the internal memory and the memory card, if it doesn’t have that then you can always download a file manager app from the play store....
