Chosen Solution Hi Community, Trying to work on one of my old phones that i sold to a friend. The cameras in the phone were not working at all. I just replaced U2301 due to no power on the PP2v85_CAM_VDD. Hey presto, rear camera worked again… however, still no front camera…. I have tested the PP2v85_CAM_VDD line and when i switch between the front and rear camera, the rear has constant power, the front holds it for about 2 seconds, then drops to 0v, all the time holding a black screen....

Chosen Solution I replaced the front camera flex cable on my iphone now my home button is not responding. is there a way to diagnose why the home button has stopped functioning apple is not an option and I refuse to have them “repair” anything for me. I know that you can replace the home button due to software locks. I have seen rumors of a device that can flash the chips on a home button to work with a logic board but I cant seem to find it....

I have backed up most of my stuff on an external hard drive. Don’t open too many things. Seriously you might try adding RAM or use the HardWare Test disk to check your HD. Chosen Solution I have a Kaisi battery activation and charging board to keep batteries topped off but what if I use a battery to diagnose a shorted board that could compromise the battery making it less useful to diagnose the next phone or potentially short a phone without a short to begin with…right? I realized for the price of not even a few batteries I can but a universal breakout cable for a DC power supply and do it that way, then buy a DC power supply of course....

Chosen Solution so im new to soldering and I just did a repair today on a donor board. I replaced the Tristar, it looked like it was cleaned well because when I heated the new Tristar it jumped right into place and looks nicely aligned. thing is the phone is barely charging. Hard to say for sure considering it is a donor board so no history on it. If you have ruled out parts I would replace Tigris as Tristar only gives the okay to charge Tigris does the actual charging....

However, my interior hall light must be on in order for my porch light to work. No inside light = no outside light. The inside light, obviously, works without the outside light being on. I tried multiple times to adjust the temperature settings higher using the touch controls but will not hold. Temp on freezer side remains at 0; and on the fridge side 28 - 30 degrees.
