If it uses Thermal Glue, is it worth replacing it with Thermal Paste since it is very old? If it is a yes to replacing the Glue/Paste then what is the safest way to do so. Put in a new speed sensor, would like to know what other sensors I might try? kpgklm , How is your trans. fluid is the level correct(top up to proper level with correct fluid type if not), Does the fluid look dark or smell burnt, this would be a sign of warn parts/clutch packs inside transmission, possibly over heated from driving with park brake on....

Chosen Solution front led stoped working but timecapsule works fine. The average life is about 18 months. If your computer is under AppleCare take the Time Capsule in for replacement. I read on this for about an hour. Main problems seem to be overheating and bad capacitors. There are instructions on replacing the capacitors on some sites. It’s a very well know issue. Back up to something else in a hurry....
Chosen Solution can bad dash gauge cluster cause this or maybe bad computer You gauges are not likely the cause for this. The first thing I would suggest to do, is to get it on an analyzer. Try places like Autozone or Maaco, since they offer free OBD scanning. I do not recommend to just randomly replace parts. This could be a complex or simple cause, like a malfunctioning sensor or a bad computer....

Chosen Solution While replacing the LCD panel in my iPod Touch 2nd generation I desoldered the home button spring off from the logic board. Is this component a ground and needed for the ipod functionality or I don’t bother with it and continue assembling the ipod ? lemerise if you are referring to the little gold/copper “Z-Shaped” spring just above the dock connector in the center of the picture. That is what makes your home button work....

And the leakage of the electrolytic has corroded things. You’ll need to take it off (soldered on) clean the logic board and replace it with a fresh battery....
