Chosen Solution How to disconnect thunderbolt cable from display? hi Vasiliy, Looking at the Apple Thunderbolt Display Teardown, step 2: The Thunderbolt Display also comes with a built-in Thunderbolt cable attached to a Universal MagSafe cable.. At the end of the tear down the cable is still in place. Basically we can conclude that it is not user removable from the outside. However Apple Thunderbolt Display Teardown, step 10: Interestingly enough, the Thunderbolt cable that routes into the display also plugs into a standard Thunderbolt socket on the logic board....

Chosen Solution not sure what to replace ??? half the screen is fuzzy and the other half is upside down, and not responding to any of the keys. any ideas, thank Al aldemsky, I would first take a look at the connector and make sure that the cable is inserted properly, that there is no corrosion on the connector. If all that is okay, I would replace the display. Relatively inexpensive at places like this or cheaper, but longer wait, on here....

Hi Danielle, You will need the app if you want to setup your S1 Mini to work with WiFi. The app mainly allows you to stream music from online services (Like Spotify) straight to the S1 Mini. If you plan on connecting your phone to the S1 Mini via Bluetooth or Auxiliary cable, you do not need the app....

Chosen Solution while listening to music with my aux cord connected to my iphone it suddenly made noise & as I looked at my phone it started to fade to black. The battery was fully charged and nothing seemed to be wrong with the phone until then. I tried resetting with charger & using iTunes, but still nothing. Chosen Solution When the computer is turned on the power light comes on but the computer will not boot up 95% of the time. When it does boot up it will work but when doing certain tasks it switches off. Probbably bad RAM Thank you, took out one of the RAM cards and now works with no problems

Chosen Solution I dropped my Galaxy S5 in soup, back cover was on, shut off, when I plugged in it made a sizzling sound. Phone still turned on. I stored it to dry for 3 days, but when I picked it up, I noticed a brown spot on the screen and when I put a battery in it and plugged it in, it didn’t sizzle anymore, but the screen was completely black, phone still working, but unusable due to black screen....

Chosen Solution Ok, here’s the history: Both water and ice stopped working, I believe after I changed the filter, but not certain about that. Anyway, I changed the filter to a GE factory filter. No effect. I scheduled a GE Repair call. He came out, determined that it was a faulty Refrigerator Water Valve. I hit ebay, purchased and installed Refrigerator Water Valve for GE WR57X10091. No effect. I then replaced the water filter housing (that the filter screws into, has the two water lines - 1 goes into the water source from the wall, the other into the water valve)....

Chosen Solution My MBP is 3 years old. My hd is making strange noises. I defragmentated it 2 months ago but its still making a lot of noise. Is it possible its dying? Hi! What do the noises sound like, i.e. knocking, clicking, etc.? If it’s making noises that are not sounds you’ve heard it make previously in its life, that’s a good indication that the drive is dying. I would definitely back up your data if you haven’t already, just to be safe....

Chosen Solution Home button doesn’t work right and the screen is lifting. You don’t really give us much to work with here…perhaps some more details on the recent history of the device. I will assume the screen cracked and you or someone else replaced it. Did you follow this guide? For the Home button, if you transferred it from the cracked screen to the replacement one, you may not have put proper adhesive so it isn’t solid enough to respond to a press....

Chosen Solution I want to upgrade my macbook pros hard drive to a ssd but I don’t want to use a back up as the ssd is going to be 250 gigs compared to my current 5400 drive that came initially with 500 gigs that has 226 gigs left on it. How can I do a fresh install of 10.11 with the new ssd in without a backup ? If you are wondering why I don’t want to restore from a back up its cause the backups are too big and would fill the new drive full....

Chosen Solution My iPod dropped into the toilet and got wet, what shall I do you should first try to dry out the iPod completely before plugging it in. I’ve heard that storing your device in a container covered with uncooked rice for a day or two will help dry it out. the dry rice will absorb a lot of moisture. I’ve not tried the rice trick myself, but my flip phone went through a full wash & spin cycle....

Chosen Solution Hi all! I have the following issue with my MBP 15" Mid 2015. Display cover was strongly closed so display and apple logo in the front doesn’t work. MBP works normally with external display. I’ve tried reseting SMC and NVRAM, but it didn’t help. I’ve tried reconnecting display cable aswell but nothing happened. Chosen Solution Mid 2011 iMac 27" When installing an SSD drive, I put too much strain on the Display Power cable socket. The pins appear undamaged, but I am not sure if the grooves in the socket and small lugs on the plug are still intact and therefore, I could possibly insert the plug either way. To identify the correct orientation of the plug, I see that a small section of the brass connectors is visible through the plastic on only one side....
