Chosen Solution The headphone connection on the device will no longer accept the jack. Do I need to replace the whole device, or is there another option? There is no need to replace the entire device,. Usually this happens when a fair amount of dirt/lint accumulates in the socket due to it’s magnetic properties. Try cleaning it with an air can, hot air blow or a cotton swab. If this doesn’t work try a second pair of headphones to ensure that there is no problem with the headphones....

Chosen Solution I’ve scanned the device 4 times with different apps. Useless. My phone is infected with malware or some dumb ass app that disables my connection (cell and Internet signal). The icon showing disconnection appears on the top. When I reboot the phone the icon disappears, and connection is reestablished. But then the malware and icon reppear. The guys at US Cellular were useless (“Let’s search Google”). It looks like a factory reset is needed....

Chosen Solution So I have a macbook pro A1211. The display has crazy redlines whenever it is suppose to be black, other colors look fine but, but black appears red. however, an external display worked fine! So I replaced the display data cable… nothing. I replaced the LCD….. nothing I unplugged the backlight and shined a light on the screen to see the red lines were still there, so the backlight/inverter is not the problem....

Chosen Solution Hi I recently had to put a new screen in my 6S and afterwards the earpiece and front camera didn’t work. A classic fault! So I got a new flex cable (front camera/prox sensor one etc) and fitted it tonight. Now the good news is all the broken functionality is absolutely fine now, i.e. the front camera is fine, and the earpiece is working again, BUT, the earpiece is getting REALLY hot when the phone is awake....

Chosen Solution So while I’m putting my iPhone 6 back together, I found this small piece of metal wedged in the case gasket adhesive. It was preventing the case from closing properly. I removed it, and the case went back together just fine. It wasn’t attached to anything … just sitting loose in the adhesive. Chosen Solution So I was doing a screen replacement on an iPhone 7 today. Have it a couple 30 second bursts of a hair dryer just to loosen the glue. Put my pry tool in and started to gently work on the bottom left hand side of the phone. Chosen Solution iMac won’t power on. How do I check this model’s power supply? History My iMac won’t power on at all and I suspect the power supply is the issue. I’ve searched everywhere I can think of, but no one has a tutorial on how to check it on this particular model. I was able to disassemble it without any trouble and I removed and inspected the power supply visually, but I’m hoping someone has advice on how to test it with a multimeter....
