Chosen Solution I dont own an iOpener and was asking if it is absolutely necessary to have one for most repairs. Thanks No, but it does make things easier when dealing with Tough adhesive in electronics and displays. You will need to heat the glue somehow, if you have a heat gun laying around you could use that at a low temperature to make the glue soft. If you do not heat the glue for example on a LCD that has Display glued Glass Panel you risk breaking the Glass/Or the screen which would come into more expensive repairs....

Chosen Solution I’ve been looking at OWC for 16gb of memory, i’m curious if I can successfully put 16 gb of memory with my MacBook Pro 2009. Chosen Solution Sorry to be dramatic in the title it just !#^&@! me off. I dropped it in the sink once thinking it was “splashproof” and it cuts out sound or has been muffled when I play music. Hi @suhnate , Here is a link to the ifixit JBL Flip 3 Repair guide. You need to open the device and check for any damage and corrosion caused by the water. To clean away any remaining moisture and corrosion to the pcb and the other components use a Q-Tip moistened with IPA 90%+ (Isopropyl Alcohol - available from most pharmacies/drug stores/chemist shops etc)....

Chosen Solution The earpiece on my 5S is not working after i changed proximity flex. At first I thought maybe it had something to do with bad connection, sprongs on speaker etc. So i cleaned it with isopropyl alcohol. Not successful. Chosen Solution So these people brought me an iPhone 7 Plus to replace the screen on, due to it being shattered. The son attempted to fix it first and ended up cutting the cables in the new screen, so I ordered them another one. The repair process went fine, I turned it on and went through the setup, but there was an iCloud. They said that was no big deal and they’d get the information and set it up themselves....

Chosen Solution I’ve been fixing iPhone for a couple of years now and I always shut the phone down before repair but I usually never disconnect the battery. Would it be smart to disconnect it before every screen replacement? I’ve never had any issue, and I’ve been doing it for years. I thought someone who had replaced the whole piece may have tried to see whether it was possible or not to separate the LCD from the broken glass. I have seen both Digitizer and LCD alone for sale or ebay which made me think that they actually CAN be separated and replace only the glass or lcd, but people just like to go the easiest and safest way....

My question is, can I pop open my iPod without the hold button in the locked position like the repair guide states? Before opening your iPod, ensure that the hold switch is in the locked position. Chosen Solution I dropped my camera and the display screen is now cracked. The camera is still somewhat usable but obviously this is very inconvenient. Is there any hope of replacing the screen? Chosen Solution My 5c does not appear to turn on. The screen is dark and when the power button is pressed and when both power and home button are prressed nothing happens. Chosen Solution I just replaced the drive belt on my whirlpool dryer and it worked for a couple of loads but now it doesn’t tumble at all any suggestions as to why? Chosen Solution I have been having trouble in regards to fitting this part. I have sourced both compatible and original parts but when fitting them none fit flush. Or the screen appears under pressure( pressure points show when touching the screen). I have followed your guide and numerous others and have stripped the ipod down to the base and rebuilt it. I am an engineer of 20 years and am employed in the office equipment industry so have had lots of experience in following instruction and dismantling small devices....
