Chosen Solution I’ve almost lost faith trying to repair a water damaged MBP. The sellers have clearly ravaged the logic board for parts, now i need advice as to weather i’m wasting my time or not. I have ordered the parts around the freehand yellow line (thanks to old turkey for the input: What are these missing parts on my logic board?) all other yellow circles are damaged looking parts or components that look missing (ridge-like solder plates give them away) I guess what i’m looking for is someone to tell me what parts look broken / missing and weather it’s even worth trying to replace them....

Chosen Solution So, I was given an iPhone 7 to repair which presented no sound or mic during calls. Tested speaker phone and voice memo. Mic was working, as was the speaker. Diagnosed a faulty earpiece speaker. Replaced the earpiece. Re-attached the LCD and camera flexes. Put battery + LCD shield back on, same with camera shield. Closed up and secured bottim screws. 4 minute job. All screws in correct place....

Chosen Solution On Saturday night I dropped my iPhone 5s into a cup of water and it got water damage. I brought it to a repair shop the same day and they got the phone to turn on but the touch screen is now broken. It will not let me get into my phone because I cannot type in the 4 digit pass code. Also my iCloud storage had gotten full about 5 weeks ago and I would like to have all of my data up to date....

Chosen Solution i tried Phillips #00 and #000 on this screw yet it wouldn’t grip on. All the other screws screw out just fine, I can’t really tell but I know this phone is water damaaged and has been sitting in rice for about a week till I opened it up to take the logic board out but I am at a block right now. I may have ruined it even more, I really don’t have any other tools I can use to get this out but any recommendations or reasons?...

Chosen Solution Hey, I bought a second hand iPhone 6 Plus off Ebay recently, and it has been having charging port issues. I cleaned out all the lint that I could find, but am still having issues. The charging port is loose and I am getting no signal at all, no matter how I try to plug the phone in, but I have noticed that there’s a sort of ’extra pin’ bent in the corner of the charging port, near the edges....

Chosen Solution Hi, this is Samsung 32’ FHD TV. The issue started with a small vertical line. Its black. You can also see the spot on bottom. It has increased over last 6 months and I think will continue increasing. Samsung technician suggested to replace whole panel or rather buy a new TV. Can someone suggest if this can not be repaired at all? Additionally, can any other cheaper LED FHD panel replace this faulty panel if repair is not possible?...

Chosen Solution So I got this iPad from my elementary school computer teacher as she works with my mom. She said it says plug into iTunes and it wouldn’t restore. So I tried in recovery and in DFU and it shows error 27. It had never been worked on before and has been sitting around for almost a year. What could this be? NAND? That’s what everything is pointing to. Probably want @refectio’s opinion

I used to “fix” this problem by plugging in and out the headphones once or twice and suddenly it worked normally. When in “headphones mode” I can only talk with the loudspeaker on. Chosen Solution My Vizio TV Model D40-D1 sticks on one channel and the remote won’t work. This happens on only one (antenna access only) channel. Reset does not help. Possibly a faulty ir sensor. How do I find ir sensor model number without taking my tv apart? Does the remote work at all? If so, navigate the menus and locate the channel search option. If the set only found 1 channel from that antenna, it can’t channel up or down since it knows of no other channels....

Chosen Solution Unit is a Whirlpool Gold Dishwasher (W10632081A which is now WDT710PAYB), purchased 9/14. My dishwasher has stopped working and is unresponsive. Chosen Solution I was removing the logic board and I noticed the EMI shield black covering peeled off. Do I need to replace the EMI shields or will it be fine if I leave it the way that it is? I am worried about the phone overheating without it. Depending on how you define “fine”. It won’t be technically identical, but the difference isn’t significant or relevant in most cases. Chosen Solution I’m trying to repair a Macbook 12-inch 2016 I bought second hand. The seller said it was in his bag and some water was spilt in his bag. If you know it’s just your computer and not walls or electrical interference then do so. I would first open it and check all connections.
