Chosen Solution macbook will not power on and will not charge battery it has a faint green light on power cord First inspect that all the pin are extending from the magsafe (use a tooth pick to push them), and that the receptacle is clean and able to make good contact Had the same problem. I took apart the macbook and cleaned the magsafe and it started charging with a full green light but another problem came up....
Chosen Solution I’m struggling to find a use for my N800 since getting my netbook and android phone. I used to use it for maps and clock and sofa web surfing. It is too slow and too small for big tasks and too big and too limited for small tasks. It sits in a drawer doing nothing. Short of selling it, what can I use the N800 for? Chosen Solution i have a imac 21.5" and i have a firmware password on it and dont remember setting one its disabled all the commands when you turn the imac on i cant reset it from a disc without this password i cant find what model it is or what its running…just wondering if i just got a new hard drive (internal) would this fix the problem and i can just boot it up from a osx disc and if so how do i know what kind of hard drive ill need to get or is there other ways to fix this....
Chosen Solution the hard drive turns on and lights up when plugged into computer but will never load or show up on desktop. Is a portable hard drive able to be fixed? Use your Disk Repair Utility and see if it can be repaired. You can use Disk Manager in Windows to see if it detects the external drive. Disk Manager is found by right clicking on the Start button and then click on Computer Management, you will see Disk Manager near the bottom of the list....
Chosen Solution Hi, basically i changed my password the other night and ive completely forgot it,, i googled what i could do and all solutions need a homebutton. i then tried to sync my phone to my computer with itunes but i was unable to do that also.. Honestly i need help!!! You could replace the Home Button although you would lose Touch ID functions. As for the password, there’s not much help we can provide....

But the problems started RIGHT after I had installed it. Anyways, I couldn’t reformat to “Mac OS extended journaled” because Apple had installed the APFS when I sent it to them for diagnostics. So I did what I read on multiple sites, and I booted in recovery, erased and now I’m trying to get my OS....

Chosen Solution my friend just gave me his old pcs hard drive so how do i format it mac? Just connect the drive to the Mac via an enclosure, go to Disk Utilities and first erase the disk. I would use the write “zero” to this drive erase option being that this re-allocates bad blocks on the drive. Then Partition it to one partition and under the partition options choose GUID partition table....

Chosen Solution I had a launch unit, served me great for many years. After it got the RROD, it was RMA’ed, replaced with a different main unit and the fans are now super loud. I can’t play a game or watch a movie because the sound is very distracting. How could my launch be quiet but this one is so loud? Can I replace the fans with quieter ones? Chosen Solution This is the 500 MHz model. I fix this computer but it’s not mine so I didn’t actually see it stop working this time, apparently the screen just didn’t come on one day. Target disk still works so it’s not completely dead, but it doesn’t sound like it’s starting up normally. Not sure what the cable’s called but it runs through the right side of the hinge to what ever controls the backlight, I replaced it (for the second time) but that didn’t fix it....

Soon, these lines spread over the whole screen and slowly the screen dimmed till all the screen was black.
