Chosen Solution I just replaced an iPhone 6 screen using one of ifixit’s replacement LCD panels. The only problem is the home button isn’t aligned evenly inside the new display. It functions great, Touch ID works, but the slight misalignment bugs me. Also, it seems like the button travel is a little deeper than before. I reviewed the repair guides, but does anyone have any tips on getting the home buttons close to the factory feel (on center, not too mushy)?...

Chosen Solution Hi, I was replacing the screen on my iPhone 8Plus and the flex for the home button snapped. The flex in question is the one that runs along the metal shield, not from the home button itself. Is this replaceable and if so, where can I get one from? Cheers If the flex in question is the one that runs underneath the heat shield and connects to the logic board (see Step 44 of this Guide), then the only way to replace it is to replace the entire screen assembly....

Chosen Solution a week go I bought a used logic board on eBay for a replacement (my old one has a fried wifi chip) and it came with a home button of its own. After replacing the logic board, I realized that even though I was very sure not to affect anything else except the replacement of the board, the home button now does not function. I tried the other button, but the same result occurs....

I very carefully wedge a thin blade just in very slightly near the bottom left corner. Once you have created a tiny gap you can slide the edge of a guitar pick under. After that’s under work around with another guitar pick or plastic prying tool....

It is my experience, if a certain area of the digitizer does not work, it needs to be replaced. I have never resolved that issue with the connectors, but always replaced the front display assembly. Chosen Solution I have replaced my light bulb on my BenQ SH940 (because of a popping noise and immediate power failure/loss of function). Now the power won’t come on (not even the standby LED). Chosen Solution I’ve been having battey charge drop problems. When I go to the Huawei service center they tell me that battery change will also require a screen change. (Without even checking my phone). They say that the battery comes with the screen. My screen is in perfect condition. Chosen Solution Hi! I had water in, but could open all and dry it out with rice. Everything is working fine now, only the ear speaker doesn’t (earphones and room speaker work perfectly). I tried to clean out the earphone jack as it was explained in youtube, but no effect. Is it possible that one of the cables 1, 2 or 3 is responsible for the ear speaker? Could I have replugged them badly?...

A blown fuse was suggested, but I can’t locate it… Check your house fuse/breaker panel. You should find a double, high current fuse or breaker that supplies the stove. It sounds as if one fuse or breaker side has blown....

Chosen Solution The flash on Nikon P7700 is stuck. It will not pop up. Thanks James. In my case, the flash does pop up after a few tries. I have to release the latch with a jerk. That helps the flash to pop up. Looks like there is a spring under the flash which has lost its tension with time or maybe the latch might be worn out now. My Kodak has the same problem....

Chosen Solution The it only charges if i move the top a bit to where ever side it want and it’s annoying Replace the cable. The individual wire strands (there are 5) have started to separate from the charger tip plug board.

Chosen Solution the phone is droped badly when i assembled whole logic board in other housing with new lcd and flex cables everithing is working except the front facing camera on image is the missing part but everithing else is on place i think. please tell me what to do… thanks i fix the board ,and now the camera is working…. there are a missing component above the screw ring, the third component from right in the first row just above the ring that i miss....

Chosen Solution I´ve been given a broken iBook - G3 12 inches - 900 Mhz. Upon close inspection i found out that someone sent it to the floor when it was plugged and charging. There was a dent in the case and the DC plug was bent and its inner connections broken. I managed to repair the broken DC plug, now the battery charges properly; also i replaced the HDD which was broken, and also dealt with re-seating the graphic chip by means of a hair-dryer session....

Chosen Solution I resurrected 6x 18650 batteries from a laptop battery , there is nickel connecting the batteries and where a + and - connection should be I soldered on copper wire. Each battery is charged. One is at 3.82v and the other 2 are at 4.2v. I am using them to mod my nerf rival gun which needs a minimal of 9v to turn on , 10v to fire. Anyways, when I connected the terminals together the power sounded way too low....
