Chosen Solution Im replacing a smashed screen, everything went ok, tested the lcd and worked after screen off. Then i removed lcd and digitiser and replaced with new digitiser and it booted up to apple logo then went blank. I then reseated battery and lcd connections and backlight not working now and tried soft reset but to no joy. By not removing the battery first have i blown the backlight? I dont have a clue about soldering so really want to avoid this route....

Hey Fede After bumping the MacBook into the door, this may have caused a glitch with the system I’d suggest that you restart the MacBook to see if the problem resolves itself, sometimes trauma to the mac like so, can cause abnormal behavior that sometimes is software based....

The MagSafe adapter does not illuminate on plugin, but every third or fourth time I plug it in, the fan will spin up really loud until I unplug the MagSafe again. Despite following the steps meticulously (and disconnecting/reconnecting everything several times), every time I start my MacBook with the new display, the screen hangs displaying a Grey rectangle and never makes it past this. Chosen Solution Had to pry the old battery now won’t power up after installing new battery Did you pry the battery from the logic board side? If so, then you probably damaged some components on the edge of the logic board. This is a pretty typical DIY error when replacing the battery. This would require a micro-soldering repair.

Chosen Solution Hello everyone. In the hopes of getting a good deal online, I found a faulty Nintendo Switch that would not charge, so I thought I would be able to may be fix the problem. Allthough I have (probably) found the reason why the device does not charge (which is because of a crooked component I cannot identify next to the charging ic of the Switch (see here), I also noticed that even when there was enough power left, the device would freeze after a few minutes of usage, no matter whether I am doing something processing intensive or just waiting in the menu....

I get a dim green light on the charger and I know its not the dc-in board, bc when I plugged that into a board with no liquid damage, I get a bright green light. The DW calls for and gets water as it runs through the cycles, but it never gets to use it to wash or rinse. Someone suggested an issue with the “drain solenoid”… stuck in the open position?
