Chosen Solution TouchID and Home button features arent working when i replaced the full assembly and followed everything to the letter. Used back plate of old screen to see if maybe it was the ribbon cable and it still has the same problem “touchID could not be activated on this device”. Home button cable most likely got damaged. get a new phone my dude And would you like to by some dank memes they are very spicey
Chosen Solution I put the old cracked screen on and it works. Put the new screen on and it doesn’t function at all. Help? Definitely try a new display, sometimes the ribbon cable that runs behind the plate on the screen that connects the home button to the circuit board doesn’t work.

You can get a replacement port from places like like this and many others. Anybody with some decent tools and skills can solder a new connector on the board. Replacing the motherboard is pretty much the equivalent of replacing the phone. The repair is identical to this one with the exception of the initial disassembly....
Chosen Solution I’m trying to take the back cover of the phone off but it seems to be stuck. I feel like if I force it, its going to break. Is the cover not suppose to come off?! Yes, the cover is suppose to come off. There is a protective rubber adhesive between the cover and the hardware. I managed to slowly peal it apart, but warming the back of the phone to soften the adhesives is warranted....

Chosen Solution if you have deleted everything of your iphone and all that is on the screen is slide for emergency can it be fixed? the phone needs to be activated, but you need the “original sim” for that. some iphones can be “hacktivated” with the right software - but that depends on the model/software version

Bottom screen works fine The replacement screen is not really that expensive and available at places like this and here is video about the how-to. I am sure you can manage just fine and the total of the repair should be very reasonable and far LESS than a new DSi. I’ve been unable to find any guidance for repairs on the SW5-017P. There is an ifixit guide for an SW5-012 model, but that has a separate circuit board for the USB-C port. I found a photo of an SW5-017P motherboard, and the USB-C port is connected directly to the motherboard....

The guy working there suggested that it may be because I had a lot of movie files on the laptop and it could also be the old style hard drive....
