Chosen Solution I still need to check the exact model of the laptop but I want to replace a cracked trackpad on my partner’s macbook pro. Just wondering if you need to replace the whole top or if I only need a new trackpad. I don’t really feel confident enough to amend the keyboard replacement tutorial for a trackpad. The cracked trackpad still works atm but if its affordable I’d prefer to replace it myself....
Chosen Solution So i replaced lcd of my iPhone 5s. And in darker backgrounds u see Light bleeding from the edges. How can i fix this? Usually it’s due to the quality of the replacement screen. Have you made sure the housing doesn’t have any debris on the edges and the housing is not bent or dented on that area where it’s showing backlight bleed as that will make the screen not sit flat at that spot?...

I said I would fix both for him, so replaced screen, which I’ve done many times, and replaced home button with one bought off eBay. Screen worked fine but home button not working still so I ordered (off eBay again) I replacement LCD shield with Home button cable attached. Connected all together but still not working....
Chosen Solution I somehow got my Xbox DVD drive stuck. It is stuck about a half inch out and it will move a little but not much. It wont close completely or open. Is there a way to fix this without buying a new drive? Maybe it got knocked off track? I can disassemble if needed. Chosen Solution I dropped my phone and a sharp rock a couple of days ago but I had a screen protector on so my phone didn’t crack. But when I took out the screen protector, I noticed a black imprint in the screen. The whole screen isn’t black it’s just that one small area but it’s really annoying. Chosen Solution We just bought a new Tuscon and the new car smell isn’t there . At least not like the new car smells Im used to with other cars we’ve purchased in the past . Air fresheners are touching it and when I turn on the air conditioner its even worse. It smells like the dollar store at the mall just after they get a shipment in from China. Chosen Solution I bought the front panel and replaced it for my Ipad2, and it came with adhesive but i do not know how to put the adhesive on or where to put it on because the guide did not say It goes on the Digitizer itself. Google search iPad 2 digitizer, click on images, and you should be able to find a screen that has adhesive on it; use that image as your guide....
Chosen Solution I started to see “red static” on the borders and anywhere there’s black on the screen. Doesn’t show up on the Mac OS X boot screen. Pretty sure it’s a hardware issue and not software since it goes away when I close the lid about 3/4 of the way down, but the problem is getting worse every day. I suspect that is the ribbon cable that connects my display to the logic board , any suggestion about how to replace it are welcome!...

The phone will surely boot and you’ll see the desktop but front camera, upper microphone, proximity and ambient sensors and loudspeaker are all on the same cable/connector. Removing one part without affecting the others is almost impossible. However, if you got a flat cable where only the front camera went bad leaving other parts untouched and functional you could use it as it is....

Chosen Solution Subaru 94 rs legacy. front drivers lights are dull I’ve taken the bulbs out of the case and turned them on but the drivers side light is dull and orange on hi lo and dip what could it be. Do you know where the earth is for the drivers side headlights? I would test for a bad ground by putting a jumper wire between ground on the vehicle, and the ground for the bulb, and seeing if that increased the brightness....
Chosen Solution So, I got an iPhone 6 today, running very oddly. I soft reset it and now it will not boot all the way. Stays on the apple logo for a while, then shuts off all of a sudden. No internal damage, new lightning cable didn’t help. Owner then mentioned that it was about 100% full with data/apps and photos. Any way to restore the iPhone with data intact? Chosen Solution I just replaced my iPhone’s display. The display is working fine, but when the phone is plugged in to a computer, the touch screen wouldn’t detect any touches or have ghost touch. I tried to reboot the phone, re-seat the display cables, wipe/clean the display, and removed the screen protector, but I still experience the same issue. Edit: I also tried to plug it to another computer, but still experiencing the issue....
Chosen Solution Hi, I guess I screwed up putting in a new 120GB hard drive. The computer doesn’t see any hard drive. I was more concerned about removing the cable from the hard drive without bending any pins and I think I plugged it in wrong. There are 2 rows of pins on the left side of the pins and then a space and I am not sure if I start the cable there or skip those 2 rows and plug it in?...
Chosen Solution I often replace the batteries on iPod touch 5th and 6th gen devices. Often times I come across an iPod touch that exhibits rapid battery drain. Even if the battery is replaced with a new one, the iPod will drain the battery within a matter of hours. Chosen Solution How do I fix a broken headphone jack? You dont have to replace the whole logic board. Just buy the headphone jack itself. You will just have to solder just 4 points. However make sure that it is soldered just right and sit flushed. It’s a little easier that having to replace the whole logic board and cheaper. Hope this helps you. The jack is part of the logic board, soldered to it with 4 contacts....
