Chosen Solution So recently I had my phone dropped in a basin while water was running fro the tap. It hardly stayed 2-4” before I took it out and dried it. As it turns out the water went in disabling Face ID didn’t got in through the earpiece as I initially thought but through a bum on the upper stainless steel bezel connection with the antenna line… The phone was never dropped or had any shock of any kind so I am wondering if that is a known design issue or I was just unlucky because I am pretty sure that the damage caused by it won’t be covered from the warranty....

Chosen Solution I repaired an iPhone 11 screen yesterday, and everything seems to be working fine except for the Face ID function. when I go to set it up, it’s like it doesn’t recognize my face at all. However, I haven’t gotten any sort of error message yet. It just keeps trying to focus and tells me to position my face in the frame, sometimes saying I should move the phone lower....

Chosen Solution It looks like the base section has screw threads that are stripped, so it leans over and falls apart if you try to pick it up to move it. You can attempt to use thread seal tape also known as PTFE or plumber’s tape. It’s the white malleable strip that is used for plumbing seals - see wiki: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thread_sea… By adding some to the screws, it can help tighten the gap caused by the stripped threads....

Chosen Solution Hello, Recently I have replaced iPhone 6 screen. The problem I have now is that Rear and the Back camera does not work, flash-light as well. It looks like everything else apart these works fine. Then I turn on them, they are just completely black. I tried those cameras on other iPhone 6 and they did work. I tried to erase the content of iPhone but it did not help....

Chosen Solution After replacing the battery in my iPhone 6, earpiece speaker and front-facing camera didn’t work. Apparently the most common problem is that I might have torn the camera/sensor cable . So I ordered a new one and installed. Sadly I still have the same problem— earpiece speaker and FF camera don’t work. Is it possible there’s something else going on here? Any suggestions much appreciated. BTW the cable replacement guide at iPhone 6 Front-Facing Camera and Sensor Cable Replacement rates this operation as “moderate” but I would rate it “difficult” due to the fiddliness of cables, sensors, etc....

Chosen Solution I went to the Apple store and the genius said that to replace the front mic I need to replace the display. Is that true or do I replace the front camera proximity sensor cable? You need the front camera proximity cable, it is part of the screen but is modular and can be replaced without replacing the screen. Chosen Solution After swimming with my GoPro it turned off I assumed the battery had died. While charging it I notice foggy spots on the inside of the camera cover and front display. I dried it out and let it sit in the sun. The foogy spots went away and the camera still works but the rear screen is black it’s some light coming from the corners but the touch screen still works ....

I did install the LED Apple logo but that was about a year ago so I don’t think that that is the issue, has anyone heard of this particular malfunction? Is there any way to just fix the hinge or would I have to replace the whole top LCD screen? Chosen Solution I dropped my Jxd on its side and so the power button has sunken. I have no way to press it. I managed to pop it out a little but it will not stick out like it use to.
