Chosen Solution I was removing my 3G motherboard a few days ago and I broke off the small gold motherboard ground next to the “Do Not Remove” sticker. What should the effects I encounter be? My battery life has since suffered drastically and will hardly last a full day. Also, I know you can order IC chips for the motherboard to replace damaged ones, can you replace this? Chosen Solution Hi i got iphone 6 short on vcc main it shows 006 ohm in diode mode. when injecting 1v voltage. theres no current draw. after remove injecting current wire. short is gone. but resistance slowly decrease until 006 ohm and gives beep sound in continuity mode. please i have no idea. The measurement you get in diode mode is not Ohms but Volts. It may seem like it’s not important but if you want to understand what the meter is telling you, you have to know what it’s actually doing to give you that measurement....

Chosen Solution So far you’ve proved the power supply is responding. If the computer it’s self is still not making any noise or visual change on the screen when you attempt to start it you have still a deeper problem. The best thing here is to open the system and see what the diagnostic LED’s tell you. Chosen Solution I have a double fan and only one is working. I belive it is the one that cools the A/C cause it quit working to If your referring to the 2 fans on the rad one comes on at a certain temp and the other comes on when the temp reaches full operating temp. you can test it to make sure it works by wiring it direct to the battery....

Chosen Solution I am considering removing my optical drive and putting my primary HDD in its location and putting an SSD as my new primary drive. Does anyone know if the second drive drains the battery considerably? Any feedback, details or warnings that I should know before changing this? Chosen Solution Earpiece speaker was very quite so I purchased a new one from iFixit.com and replaced it now it is louder but not by much….any suggestions? I would suggest cleaning out the earmesh. That is usually the problem due to dirt or dust in the earmesh. You’re going to have to remove the screen, front camera flex and then pop out the ear mesh from the front of the screen to clean it off....

Chosen Solution Just finished a battery swap in a 12-inch Retina MacBook 2015 and now I’m hearing an electric whine come from the computer whenever I wake it from sleep. Is there something I should do with it to prevent that? I don’t recall that sound at all from before the replacement. Chosen Solution I was mowing yesterday and my engine just stopped. I tried to restart it and it won’t turn over. Dave, First thing you will have to check, is engine has seized, remove spark plugs and try to turn engine over by hand. Chosen Solution Mounted a known good VDO voltmeter tapping into the ACC fuse slot in the underdash fuse box. When driving the readings were 13.7v most of the time, BUT once every 2-3 hours, the voltage would drop to 12.1v for five-ten minutes before rising back up to 13.7. None of the warning lights come on at any time. My interpetation is that when it was reading 12.1, that was merely the battery voltage....

Chosen Solution Following the guides on this site, I upgraded mine to a 500 gb ssd. Unfortuntely the fans inside the machine are spinning like crazy. I have tried using external software to control them but no luck, the hdd temp reading is too high, the optical drive fan is super noisy. Am I just simply unlucky? First did you transfer the hard drives thermal sensor over to your SSD? Review Step 20 in this guide you are using here....
