Chosen Solution The phone started vibrating and wouldn’t stop. I took out the battery and left it out overnight. The vibrating finally stopped but now the screen is completely black. Has the phone been dropped or exposed to liquid or any other damage that may have brought on these issues? Chosen Solution Someone else’s computer. I have never seen it boot. After an SMC reset, it displays the battery icon with the red bar in it, then goes dark. Or, it boots long enough for the progress bar to go half way under the white apple before it goes dark. I’ve only heard a startup chime once, on dozens of attempted boots. Chosen Solution I have a powerbook g4 in which the hard drive went. I purchased a new 320 gb hard drive and after watching some videos on youtube installed the hard drive with no problems. I placed the leopard install disc in the computer holding down the C key as I booted up but the computer did not give me the option to see the disc and use disk utility to do the installation, instead it spit out the disk as it finished booting up and I got the question mark folder....
