Chosen Solution No boot sound and no sound when in OS (10.14.3). System Preferences shows that the internal speaker is there. I can plug in headphones and the output source changes to headphones and sound does play through them. I’ve replaced the speaker, I/O Board, and cable that connects I/O Board to logic board. I’ve tried resetting SMC and PRAM. I’ve booted to a live Linux USB and sound doesn’t work there either....

Chosen Solution After the screen replacement it randomly shuts off and restarts. i have tried the battery and a charging port as well as a factory reset and it is still shutting off frequently. is there anything else i could replace that will fix this issue? Is it possible you might have damaged the NFC antenna? Might try leaving the rear cover and NFC antenna off the phone to see if it becomes more stable....

Chosen Solution I just did a diskpart clean during windows install and i accidentally wiped all the drives and when i restarted the pc it said ‘operating system not found’ seems like i have wiped off the OS as well. Though, i have backed up all my data on a 500 gb external hard drive some time back. Can i install the OS from the external drive (on which i have backed up data)?...

Chosen Solution Hi all, working on an iPhone 6 which wouldn’t charge or connect to iTunes but boots fine from a known-good battery (or did). Having done some metering I decided to replace Tristar and that appeared to go well with 36 nice shiny pads tinned and wicked, and the new A3 chip (Chinese) seemed to go on fine. However when I tried it again it won’t boot from the battery it just boot-loops on the Apple logo, so I had a much closer look around the board in the general area and found that I’d accidentally pulled off a cap when removing the (copious) Kaptan tape I’d used....

Chosen Solution My have just changed the mother board of my ipad 5 and unable to boot it up. It was lying for a long time with a broken motherboard and the battery could not be charged. Now when connected to power, the apple logo flashes for a moment and the screen goes blank with a dull lighted background. Pressing the sleep/wake button for few seconds switches it off momentarily. After this the logo appears again for a moment with the screen going blank again....

Does that need to be placed back on the new LCD screen? It is not stated clearly in the instructions if this was necessary. Do you still have your recovery CD/DVD that came with the system? If you do you’ll need to boot up with it or if you have an external HD or thumb drive that is setup as bootable with the needed OS-X version your system needs you can also do it that way....

Chosen Solution So i am replacing my battery because it no longer holds a charge and i got one of the adhesive strips all the way out but as i was pulling out the second one it broke off. Any help would be greatly needed! Make sure the battery is disconnected, get a plastic spuger heat the back of the phone where the adhesive strip is on the battery. Slowly pry on the edge of the battery a little from one side to the other....

Chosen Solution I repair iPhones as a side job kinda thing, and I recently have opened up and attempted to fix a hold button, however, the hold button will not click like it normal should would I assembly all together.
