Chosen Solution I want to purchase a game on Steam that’s priced around 50 USD but i’ve seen some websites that sell steam accounts with games purchased in countries where prices are considerably lower. My question is: Does Steam allow third-party vendors to sell accounts with games? Is it unlikely that it will be deactivated? Thanks in advance for your help. Chosen Solution The phone in question is actually and htc u11 not u11 life, but for some reason that isn’t an option So I recently replaced my battery in the phone and then killed it in a hot tub. I have another u11 at my disposal that only needs a new screen and could do with a new battery. I have the new screen and am prepared to replace it, but I’m wondering if the new battery from the water damaged phone is good to go....

Chosen Solution My earbuds will not insert into the jack. It seems as though something has dislodged in the jack or something broke loose. Look at the tip of the earbud input jack and see if it has broken off. I had to clean audio jack from cotton debris once. It went there from the bottom of my pocket. I couldn’t insert earphones plug fully anymore. You can clean it with toothpick, if that’s the case....

Chosen Solution Has anyone actually removed the ram chips (hynix right?) and managed to solder on new ram chips to increase to 16gb? Sorry, its just not done. The rub here is you need the proper equipment to solder on the chips (on the other side) without messing up the other exposed components from to much heat. RAM chips on a Retina are difficult to source and not an economically viable undertaking - not even including labor cost / risk....

I get the silvery Apple against black backdrop, hard drive wheezes as if starting but screen goes back off and then silvery Apple again etc, etc… Would it be the hard drive itself ? Is it dead ? The volunteers on ifixit do not make referrals since this will be based on personal preference. Two is do it youself. Use this guide to get to the display/screen. Now you have to check if it is the digitizer (front glass) or the screen (LCD) itself....

Chosen Solution So, I’ve been fixing phones for quite some time, but I’ve noticed a few things when replacing the LCD and home buttons. Some replacement screens have the connector for the home button to plug into and some don’t. Ive looked many places and can’t seem to see or figure out how it works. What about the parts which do not have the home button cable (not the home button itself but the one that comes seated on the LCD)....

Chosen Solution I just replaced screen with digitizer, and Home button works to turn on screen but when I touch it to close an app it shoots me back to The lock screen like I’ve touched the top button and I have to re login. It works when the screen isn’t seated in place. As soon as I push it in place it doesn’t work again. Digitizer is properly hooked up....

Chosen Solution Hi there. I have drone and one of the screws(tiny) is totally stripped in 1 of the propellers. i have no way of getting it out.. Any idea?? It is recessed into the actual propeller itself by the way. You will need what is called a “screw extractor”. Google it for a shop near you. They are reasonably priced.

Chosen Solution Just replaced the LCD screen & glass on this A1278 MB Pro Unibody. When I start it up, the screen blinks, but immediately appears to shut down. I also replaced the HDD. I can hear the SuperDrive running, as well as the fans, and it sounds a lot like it’s trying to install the OS. I have no luck with the hardware diagnostic displaying either. Any ideas? Never mind, I went back in & re-seated the video cable at the logic board, and that fixed it....

Hi @iridi , It does not have a M.2 slot but according to the service manual it has a PCIe slot for either a half mini WAN card OR a mSATA SSD. Go to p.63 in the service manual to view how to remove / replace the component....
