Chosen Solution The screen has small, white lines across the top and from time to time the screen freezes, I have found a remedy to this but it does not really work. I adjust the angle of the screen, this only fixes the freezing screen though. Cillian, if adjusting the angle of the screen fixes the issues with lines going through the LCD, you could have issues with the display cable....

Chosen Solution I picked this machine up under one condition: Remove the hard drive; take the rest of it with an AMD A10-5700/12GB RAM. I intended to use this for parts, but it has a lot more potential then I originally anticipated being present, even if it’s a Win7 licensed system. However, the problem is when I tried to do the recovery with the factory image DVDs I got with the system, it expects a same or larger hard drive - in this case I got a p7-1227c H2L95AAR, so it was a factory 2TB machine....

Chosen Solution I have this iPhone 8 Plus and it the logic board is shorted out. I just need the pictures off of it. @the_tech_noodle you will not get those pictures unless you get the phone to turn on. there is no hack to get those off a dead board. If those are important pictures I suggest you contact somebody that is experienced with board level repairs and can get this either permanently fixed or at least fixed long enough so you can download the pictures....

Chosen Solution Model A1286. running OS Catalina 10.15.6. No spills and not dropped. Cursor is slow, jumps around, sometimes opens windows without me selecting them, etc. Battery shows to be good. I also removed battery to see if swelled or other signs of damage. seems fine. Cleaned dust off, reconnected and recalibrated. Still doesn’t work properly. Should I replace touchpad? Chosen Solution The iPad dropped from my knee only a short distance onto my foot, but the screen is completely black and won’t turn on. I tried connecting it to the charger and it made the ‘ping’ sounds, so is not completely dead. I’ve tried tapping it on the back but it didn’t work. Is there anything I try before I send it away? I’ve recently found out about cutting the end of the entire jack off and then soldering the exposed wires, and so on, but was wondering if I could put that off as a last resort, in case anyone can help. thx in advance.
