Chosen Solution I tried to factory rest my phone. Now it will not boot up or get past set-up wizard without freezing up. Have to completely take the battery out to turn it off. Try Master reset with hardware keys, google the procedure for your Make/Model/Carrier. First scroll to clear cache and clear it, then do your reset to factory settings and see if the clearing cache helps you in the reset process....
Chosen Solution The GPU on my MacBook Pro is starting to fail every so often, leaving it with a black screen and no external graphics when plugged into an external monitor. Chosen Solution I, too, did this on a late 2011 MBP and soldered the connector back in place. Ever since, the fan is running at full speed. Resets of the PRAM and SMC don’t get it under control and tools like smcfancontrol register the fan at 0 rpm. Any ideas what might be going on? Bad solder job? Something else damaged? Any help would be very appreciated. @zed11 a lot of times this is caused by failed/missing components right by the connector....
Chosen Solution I was cleaning my Macbook and when I mount back the lower body the fan spins full speed and airport not working, without lower body everything works well, can anyone advise please? Are the logic board and all the components attached sitting completely inside the computer? My guess is that once you took the bottom cover off, and cleaned it out, some things may have become loose, so when you put the bottom cover onto the MacBook, the aluminium on the bottom touches the logic board and shorts some part of it out....

Chosen Solution The screen is covered on one side by colored lines. If I accurately guess where input buttons are I can still navigate via touch screen so that is still working. I just cannot see the entire desktop because of the colored lines. The system was not dropped or jarred in any way…just turned it on and half the desktop is gone.
