I found out I could prevent this by pressing the screen (like a cardiac massage) while it was fading to white. Chosen Solution Ok, ive been working at this for a while… I have tried everything, including taking the thing apart…pram, starting from system CD etc. Symptoms: i hear the chime every time, takes a while, but i get the folder and ?. Occasionally it will startup properly. I use disk utility and it says the hard drive is fine. I took it apart to see if there was a loose connection or something, and everything appears fine....

If issue still persists with a different SIM on an iPhone 6 I’d think about a baseband issue, that’s relatively common when the phone has been dropped or flexed. Try also dialling *#06# on your numeric pad, in case you don’t get the IMEI number in return the baseband failure would be confirmed....

Chosen Solution Hello, Using an iron, desoldering pump. I did not use flux. I attempted to desolder my mouse switches for Mouse 1 and Mouse 2, and replace them. When trying to replace the switches, the result was : Mouse 1 worked properly, while mouse 2 didn’t respond. Clearly there is an issue with it. On the back side of the PCB, the copper plate is clearly not even there anymore, while it looks like it’s fine on the front side....

If it doesn’t charge replacing the battery is only as good as a new batterys life. plug in the phone and see if it can be recognized by your computer if not it could be a charging cord problem or the charging connector port. Chosen Solution I have the typical display problem where the back light comes on at a certain position of the lid. How can I distinguish between an inverter or inverter cable problem and an LCD cable problem. It must be backlight because I can see that the screen is working when an external light shines on it. I am prepared to fix this myself but do not want to replace LCD cable when it’s an inverter or inverter cable problem and of course vice versa....
