Chosen Solution Does anybody know of a source of the self-adhesive dark gray foam strips that fit between the digitiser and the LCD of the Envy Touchsmart 15-j113 and similar notebooks (between the fixing adhesive strip and the edge of the painted mask area) and whether or not they are important. It has just occurred to be that they may be conductive and thus form a grounding function. I changed the power supply after reading some possible solutions here, but it didn’t fix it. I also changed the PRAM battery but it didn’t work. Chosen Solution While I was replacing the battery, the adhesive strips got torn, so I had to heat the back of the phone etc etc I successfully removed the battery but in the process of doing so, when I turned over the phone two small rubber parts fell out. If it is just a single door that is not working, it is most likely the door module that requires replacement. You can try to reset the modules....

Try to turn the console on without a HDD in place. The HDMI cable also may be a reason so try to use a standard AV-cable....

There appears to be 3 u.fl connector attaching the existing antenna to the unti. @Mayer- You have to make your own holes for attaching external antenna. It’s called “hacking”. :) I am working now to confirm that these three connectors are, indeed, u.fl connectors....
Chosen Solution I was asked to repair this MBP, because it was very slow in responding to mouse or trackpad clicks,as well as keyboard input, if at all. I replaced the old HDD with a good SSD fresh install Sierra, and she was fixed. Until I demonstrated my fix to my friend, when it suddenly was again slow in responding to trackpad etc. So I decided to dig some further, but now cannot even reproduce the problem....

Chosen Solution After a while of using the iFixit duel laptop drive, the hard drive now is making racket. It almost sounds like it is skipping in a way. I went ahead and replaced the hard drive with a new one and after about 2 weeks it started doing the same thing. Is this being caused from the hard drive not maybe being balanced? Some MacBook Pro’s have an issue with the drive held in the optical drive caddy....

Chosen Solution One of my PS4’s USB ports is loose and doesn’t charge controllers unless I hold the USB cable and angle it upward. I’ve looked inside the port on the from of the PS4 and the 4th pin, furthest to the right is bent upward. I’ve tried to stick an iPhone sim tool in there but there’s no way I can get underneath the pin to angle it back down....
