Chosen Solution Ok so ordered this console on ebay for cheap and the disc drive wont open. It makes the ting noise when you press the button but nothing happens. Have taken the console apart and opened the DVD drive to inspect what’s causing the problem. So, when you eject the drive, it does nothing, when you press it again, the disc spins and the laser reads. I originally thought the motor that opens the tray might have been damaged....

Chosen Solution This is a little odd. The ear piece speaker is getting hot, after I did a display assembly replacement. I did everything as I normally would. What could be the cause? Under the earspeaker is nothing what could get hot. Try to dissassembly and assembly again. Its the front camera flex assembly, this happened to me the other day, replace cable and all is fixed. I can only assume I messed it up when removing it as I use a bit of heat to separate the prox sensor from its bracket....

Chosen Solution I would love to see a teardown of more PVR’s, specifically the Fetch TV Mighty. This unit is so compact that I’m not even sure where to start. Mostly I want open it up, and then improve the cooling. Hi, Is it overheating at all and causing problems? How old is the device? If it still is within the warranty period and even if it is not (hard to find any information regarding warranty of pvr on the Fetch TV website) I recommend that you contact Fetch TV and ask if the excessive heat is a ’normal condition’ and if not can you get a replacement....

Chosen Solution I’ve tried fixing two NES now, one with a solid grey screen, one with a flashing red screen, both have new pins and I have disabled the lockout chip on both. Chosen Solution Hello, I accidentally dropped my D610 when my camera bag’s sling snapped… When I tried to check the camera, AF cannot lock on a subject and the green circle focus indicator between the green arrows would not show up.. I tried resetting the camera to factory settings and still encountered the same problem, also tried playing with the different AF modes and still problem could not be solved. By the way, when I press the shutter lens will be moving back and forth but will not lock, I tried also to use several lens to test it and still it gives me the same problem....

Chosen Solution I have a Galaxy Note 5 N920G that has a water problem, everything just fine apart that it does not recognize the sim, so for calls and data is useless. I took it to Samsung , and they said that the motherboard or logic board does not work and need a replacement, but they want to charge me 300 usd that´s like a brand new note 5. Chosen Solution Hello, My 2015 MBP’s logic board fried while I was adding a CD (through an external CD drive) to iTunes. I replaced the logic board with one purchased from ifixit while following along with their guide. Prior to the logic board replacement, there was not a single sound or fan moving if I tried to power on the MacBook. After replacing the logic board, along with replacing the thermal paste for the heat sink, the fan starts working about 15 seconds after plugging in the power cable....

Chosen Solution Hey Guys I’m going to do a screen replacement for iPhone 7+, I got the waterproof display adhesive for the screen but do I have to replace the home button and other part gaskets as well to keep it water resistantance ? Or is it just the outer screen adhesive that needs replacing. To get it water resistant again it’s hard to do so because it would require testing the gasket seals which can only be done with machines that test the water resistance properly....

Does the line sound noisy or has it a background hum on an o/g call? (Try just dialing one digit - to break the dial tone signal - and then listen. A good line sounds clear i.e no noise to be heard) If it sounds noisy, try disconnecting the phone’s base station from the telephone line (make sure that there is nothing else connected to the phone line at the premises, such as a modem etc) and then call your number from another phone....

Chosen Solution Hi all, So, I finally upgraded to Sierra and everything was fine the first couple of hours. I closed the lid only to realise 3 hours later that the mac never went to sleep but was instead running the fan full throttle. I had to do a hard reboot and to my horror saw that the computer stalled at the white start up screen (with the apple logo). Chosen Solution Horrible experience with desoldering braid using 30watt iron. Replaced both analog sticks, desodered sticks with braid and was so &*&! difficult, followed the guide on the site to no avail. There has got to be an easier way to desolder components for removal, any advice / suggestions would be a tremendous help. Thanks Desolder pump would be your best bet. got one at radio shack for $6 not bad really just wait till it liquifies and suck up the solder one by one till you can pull out the component with no trouble....
