Chosen Solution When the laptop boots up, I get a screen that says “Hard Drive - Not installed”. There is a box to click continue. When this is done, the laptop shuts down Start the computer and press F2 until the BIOS appears. Navigate the menu and reset it to it’s defaults. After doing that, double check that the boot mode is set to UEFI and not Legacy. Also make sure that the HDD operating mode is set to AHCI....

The sw license is hardcoded to the devide, therefore I absolutley need to fix it ;) The phone does not start anymore. So I opened it with my protech toolkit and found the RTC battery oxidated. I cleaned the green patina off the battery connector and took out the battery (code XH414H)....
Chosen Solution I’ve been having issues with my disk drive recently. I have taken it apart and put it back together multiple times in an attempt to fix the problem, each time resulting in the disk drive acting differently. Sometimes it accepts the disk with a bit of force then can eject it easily. Sometimes it tries to eject when there is nothing in there (despite the black arms on the disk drive itself not being stuck upon inspection)....
Chosen Solution I dropped my headphones in the water and they don’t work anymore Hi @mohater The impurities in the water causes corrosion and provides circuit paths for the electricity which were not in the headphone’s operating design and could damage the components. The corrosion starts immediately and is ongoing until it is completely cleaned away. Given that the ifixit AirPods Pro Repair guide has a 0 / 10 repairability rating there’s not much point in trying to fix them....

It says it has an update install, but then will always get to around 90% before getting the error message “fatal update error C0000022” with a slightly different file number each time (usually somewhere in the 53,000s out of about 55,000). Chosen Solution I tore the home button flex cable just a bit and now the Touch ID doesn’t work. It’s still the original home button and assembly. If I replace just that home button cable that is taped to the screen shield will that solve the problem allowing the Touch ID to work again? If you replace the cable it should work. It only doesn’t work if you don’t have the original home button....
Chosen Solution My 1999 Saturn SL1 stalled while I was driving a few times and each time I would have to wait while before it would start again then the day came it stalled then never started again. I replaced the Electric Fuel Pump, Fuel Filter, Electric Fuel Pump Relay, Battery and cleaned the Carburetor. Still won’t start, so a friend and I tried Starter Fluid Spray. It did a rough start and idle as long as he would spray then stall when he stop....
Chosen Solution I recently replaced a failing logic board on a 2011 Macbook Air. The install went smoothly, but on start-up, I get the question mark symbol indicating that the SSD isn’t being recognized. However, when I boot into Recovery Mode, it sees the SSD just fine and even lets me verify/repair. The hardware test also recognizes the drive and gives the computer a passing grade. I suspect this is a firmware issue....

I swapped the OEM broken screen for a cheap $20 replacement screen from Nasteck, and everything worked fine, until my boss dropped it off of the coffee table and shattered the cheap screen. This time, I ordered the $70 replacement screen from iFixit, but when trying to transfer the home button over, the connector wouldn’t snap together....

The water comes primarily out of the bottom on the right side of the washer and sometimes from the front. I’ve taken to running the hot / cold water cycle first for my whites and then switching to cold / cold for the colors....

Chosen Solution Hi, I’ve got the dim green light problem on the magsafe charger with my macbook pro. The laptop works fine when it has battery (only problem being that the battery takes a really long time to charge back up even a few %, and the magsafe has the dim light). If the battery is left to completely empty the laptop won’t turn back on, even after being left for days to charge…However, once a new battery is put in which has charge in it, it works again (with the same problem with the slow charging and dim green light) I’ve tried…...
