Chosen Solution I just replaced an iPhone 7 charging port and now the home button isn’t responding. I didn’t do anything with the display assembly since it was working just fine. Since it didn’t work I took the phone back apart, made sure the home button was connected on the display assembly, and everything checked out and is connected. Not sure why the home button isn’t working. I see to the left side of the charging port there is a pressure connector that goes up like it would touch the backside of the home button, that too is in place and not bent down or anything that would make it seem like it wouldn’t connect....

Chosen Solution I’m trying to replace the dead internal battery in my rice cooker, but the battery seems to be attached without solder on the contacts. The holder itself it soldered to the PCB, but the connection appears to be dry. Each side of the connector seems to have a couple of indentations. Could these have been stamped into the battery to hold it in place? Does anyone have any idea how I could unfix these from the battery so I can put a fresh 1/2AA battery in there, or does the whole thing need to be unsoldered from the PCB itself?...

Chosen Solution I have a water flosser -Waterpick WP60- which works perfectly. However, due to the long live (approximately 15 years old) the hose that supplies the head for ejecting pressured water is broken. It leaks and does no let the pressure work well. Chosen Solution How do I format my new 1.5TB WD HDD so my iMac see’s it? If you’ve already installed the new hard drive, start up from your system installation disk by inserting the disk and restarting holding down the “C” key. Go to the second screen pull down menu to Utilities -> Disk Utility. Now format the drive. Next quit disk utility and continue with the system installation.

Chosen Solution How do I lubricate my golf cart wheel bearings? @tconner369, Terry, Depending on make model and year some bearing are serviceable and some are what they called sealed bearings and they are not(if worn or dry, sealed bearings are replace by pressing out and pressing new bearing back in). If serviceable type, Jack cart up safely, remove wheel, you will need to remove the hubs cap, have a clean rag, lay out the pieces in order of removal, then I think the cotter pin, castle nut, washer, front bearing and then possibly rear bearing seal carefully(if damaged replace),then backside of hub bearing, clean the axle stub and hub inner race’s, check for wear,Clean the interior of wheel hub of old grease....

If you still have it take it with you to either visit an Apple Store or call them to ship it to them. After the warranty period is over, It must be sent in to Apple Care Center… The current cost to replace the digital crown is $499.00 plus parts…..

Chosen Solution Just out of nowhere my system has on the internal display some weird strips. But works fine with external monitor. Screenshoots are taken show no strips. If I move the screen a little downwards the stripes are gone and display is good, backlight is working. PRAM & SMC reset didnt change anything. Might be just a loose cable somewhere? How to fix it? It was for repair half a year ago cause a broken touchbar....

Chosen Solution I know that I’m not to overload this Kenmore Elite HE3T Washer machine with an “all towel” load and have been faithful at that, but now after about 10 years, even two towels inhibit spin, or a set of king sheets… Seems like some sort of mechanism has gotten weak (like a rubber belt maybe??). I mainly don’t want to get ripped off by a repair company. From what you’ve said I would bet on the drive belt: Drive Belt If the washer won’t spin or agitate, check the drive belt....

Anytime there is a white background you can tell that he screen is ridiculously dirty. I was wondering if it’s possible to take the screen apart somehow and clean it. I have found no guides that explain how to take apart the anti-glare screen once its removed from the CPU....

Chosen Solution I was changing out my fan and clumsily broke the connector for the fan. Having a new fan on hand, I proceeded to Solder the new one on. However, I am getting no power to it. I check with a multi-meter to see if there was voltage running through the contacts, and there was, but it seems to me like the fan I bought has a different pin layout....

I replaced my head lamps on my 2007 ford focus ses I have seen videos on this procedure. Because of the non existence space to do this fix. Some take off the front grill and some other stuff so you can take out the entire lamp assembly ....

The most economical way would be to try and find a TV that has other parts that are not working and then to change the LCD....

I often times can’t get a replacement drive to work in a MacBook that I know worked in another MacBook. I’m told there’s a way to identify the optical drive to know exactly what year a1278 or a1286 it will work in, but i’m not sure how to do that....

Chosen Solution Water go in.. and not work..what can i do With water damage, you have to decontaminate the logic board before doing anything else, otherwise there will be latent issues down the road. Not every water-damaged phone is recoverable and depending on the kind of liquid (salty, dirty, filthy), sometimes the success rate is quite low. That said, IMHO, it’s always worth a try otherwise we are just piling up the e-waste....

Chosen Solution Hoping to revive a MacBook with a dead display. To be clear, the computer appears to run ok with an external monitor, but main display is totally black. I recently installed a new battery successfully but damaged the click-wheel connector along the way - a replacement has been ordered. In the meantime an iFlash adapter was ordered and arrived today. I installed 128 GB of storage OK, but along the way the backlight on the LCD display seems to have stopped working. Normally the LCD lights up if the device is connected to power (or over USB to iTunes etc)....
