Chosen Solution Is posible to remove the dvd optica drive to put a heat extractor or any other cooling system. I want to reduce the macbook temperature, I’m most of the time in a Library watching educational videos on youtube. And also running parallels . And it makes the cpu to 77º , fans 6200 rpm so it turns too noisy . For me would be perfect to replace the optical drive with a Fan ,extractor any or cooling system , capable to get the heat out through the slot where normally we insert the dvd....

Chosen Solution Who can fix this? Yes I know it is extremely hard. From the looks I’d say nobody can fix it, as the main cable has been ripped very close to the button, no room to work on it. You can try at Apple, they’re the only ones who can program a working button to get back the touch ID. If you can live without fingerprint recognition you can install a third party home button such as the JC or HQ, they are not perfect but they’re decent replacements for the return to home function....

Chosen Solution So I followed the guide with ifixit’s spare LCD assembly as my glass was cracked. I’ve done a few of these before to great success, but this time, the phone now acts like the home button has been pressed in my pocket, causing incorrect password entries and even emergency calls as I’m walking along You’ll need to carefully inspect the Home Button and it’s flex cable to insure there isn’t any damage or that it wasn’t incorrectly assembled/installed....

Chosen Solution Some of the keys on m keyboard have become unresponsive, is there anyway to replace or fix them? Dylan, sounds like a bad keyboard to me. Download the service manual from the bottom of this page. Page 59 will show you what you need to do to replace it. Hope this helps, good luck.

Chosen Solution I have a Texas instrument 83 calculator that I bought in September, I have used it for only three month. Fortunaly around December, My water bottle got opened in my backpack and soaked my calculator. I try to dry the outside of my calculator and just let it dry inside for few days but after that I was not able to use it because it won’t turn on. After resetting, I DO use “settings complete” and “done”, but it defaults to manufacture date when battery is removed for recharging. Thanks for any help. Chosen Solution Hi, Dropped A1586 here that had a short on PP3V0_NAND. faulty cap located and replaced. Device now boots up with no image on the screen. PP6V0_LCM and PP_5V7 next to this are ok. There is backlight but I’m wondering because the PMIC did get very hot before the initial NAND short was removed, the adjacent Oscar gets hot now. I’m wondering what would be the next thing to test/look for?...

Chosen Solution When replacing the digitizer, the connectors came apart. I had a gentleman in Kentucky check it and he planned on placing jumper wires from the test points to the connectors. The repair was only partly successful. Some of the wires are broken. I don’t know if it was in shipping or what, and its irrelevant to me. I am an experienced Electronics repair technician but am a bit out of practice, especially with micro soldering....

Chosen Solution i cracked my iphone 5c i bought a Display Assembly (LCD, Front Panel/Digitizer Only) and i ripped my front camera/ sensor flex cable during the display assembly transfer from new to old. if i buy a Display Assembly with Home Button and Front Camera willl that eliminate the need for a new sensor and camera flex cable and overall ease the process pf the repair ? As son as I move the screen back or forth, the full display goes white or blue and nothing is visible. Chosen Solution I’ve got a G-Tech G-Drive Mobile USB 3, and the USB connector port has broken clean off the circuit board inside the unit. I’ve got a replacement drive and I’ve got SATA to USB cables to transfer the data off the internal drive. Problem is that there are no screws on this casing! I’ve got a putty knife and various soft and hard pryers and spreaders, but before I go hacking at the case I was hoping one of you fine folk might have already had at one and can give any pointers as the best and least destructive way to get to the internal drive?...

A few weeks ago we found the dryer was running fine but no longer producing heat, and would not shut off at end of cycle (ie. ran indefinitely). I investigated and found the heating coil to be burned out/broken. Replaced element and everything seemed to be back to normal.
