Chosen Solution Last weekend I spilled some water on my computer. I immediately turned it off and sat it upside down overnight. The next day it booted very slowly, but worked poorly. The computer worked for a bit and was very laggy. I reset the PRAM and SMC and it worked for about one hour before the screen started displaying lines. Now the screen is completely black. The computer will boot and work with an external display....

Chosen Solution These dark spots show up on every photograph taken with the rear camera: http://i.imgur.com/b3dK0N5.png I’ve tried holding the phone up and then pinching it against a table in an attempt to move any dust behind the glass or stuck to the lens but it was to no avail. Decided then to tear apart the phone and clean the area around the camera. The whole phone was dirty. Bits of wood and dust cluttered were everywhere(there is even dirt in the small space between the screen and the digitizer)....

Chosen Solution The guide says that you need a T6 Torx screwdriver but the T6 Torx Screwdriver hyperlink under ‘Tools Needed’ links to the TR6 Torx screwdriver. Which one do I need? I’d like to buy the Essential Electronics Toolkit and use it for this repair but that includes TR6, not T6. All it needs is a T6. But either one will work. @godernst , Mike, It appears to be T6 from the guides, but if you do not already have the screwdriver perhaps consider getting the TR6 Torx then you have a the capability of removing security screws if need be....

Chosen Solution I currently had water enter my laptop but no damage was done. I am also still under warrant. If something goes wrong, are there indicators in my MacBook Pro that will void my warranty in the presence of water? If you have any concern with the laptop and it is still under warranty I would strongly suggest buying AppleCare for your machine to take the warranty out to 3 total years....

Chosen Solution Since replacing black ink cartridge, when I try to print anything, the moving “Cartridges Holder” makes grinding noises & won’t or can’t leave it’s starting point, though it seems to be trying. Chosen Solution Hello, I was filming my daughters wedding with a Flip Ultra HD Model U260. Near the end of the wedding, the screen was just white. I took the batteries out and back in, would not turn on. I put in new batteries. Still won’t turn on. Attached to USB on my computer, does not turn on with or without batteries. Since it will not be carrying a lot of data, I think I can use a much longer cable. Next part of the question concerns cost. Can I make a firewire cable? I’ve never cut into one....

Chosen Solution 1989 mercedes benz 230e when i start the car i tern the key it starts and when i let go of the key it stops checked the fuel pump relay and is ok wont to check the fuel actuator but carnt find it Norm Guthrie, The fuel pressure regulator is mounted on the fuel rail of engine, Fuel Injection Electro Hydraulic Actuator Valve is #117 in picture below. There are also other causes for this situation, weak/faulty alternator, corroded/loose/damaged wiring,faulty ignition switch, crank position sensor failing, fuel pump relay, MAF sensor, etc....

Chosen Solution I recently had an issue with a dropped iPad not being responsive. I assumed it was a LCD issue, it wasn’t. Reseated the the connections and it was fine. I’m new to repair so this was the first time replaced any parts and I replaced the digitizer since it had a fine crack and I was taking it apart anyway. I also damaged the bezel when separating the old digitizer from the housing so put in a new one....

Chosen Solution How do I replace/fix the steering wheel activator system for the horn? @leojik , Before pulling the steering wheel because your horn does not work, Check all fuses and horn relay and the horn itself. May be bad/corroded ground at the horn. Links below show horn fuse/relay locations, horn location and removal, steering wheel removal to access horns wiring/plug. Chosen Solution Hello all! I decided to upgrade my late 2012 mac mini. I purchased two Samsung 840 Pro Solid State Hard Drives. My mac mini required me to purchase the kit to supply a new hard drive in the upper bay. I removed both hard drives, installed both SSD’s, using the cable provided in the kit and cable provided by the original spinning drive in there. Chosen Solution My External hard dive takes time to be discovered when plugged in and once discovered data is transferred extremely slow. e.g 10MB Can take 3 hours. it transfers @ a rate of 52KB/ps or less. Sometimes USB ports have different power ratings and give different speeds. Try using the port closest to the power port if on a laptop. If your External HDD is a WD Passport, it has extra hardware that does the encryption part....
