Chosen Solution Trying to fix this DVD player - the owner said it doesn’t read discs. On investigating I found that it wasn’t spinning discs at all. I’ve replaced the laser/motor unit but it’s still the same. The disc starts moving 2 or 3 times very slowly but then it gives up and says no disc. Both laser/motor units do exactly the same. Chosen Solution My iphone screen stopped working suddenly. It went totally black. It was coming back on when I pressed it at the top. I took it to a repair shop, where he replaced screen with a new one to check and it worked. I didn’t want to replace the screen so the technician kept a tissue paper on the display’s cable and closed the phone. Its working now don’t have to press it anymore....

Chosen Solution My camera will start, but whenever I push a button other than the shutter button, it shuts down. Can this be repaired, or is it a short in the system? Chosen Solution When reattaching the stand to the monitor, the spring has to be turned in order to line up the opening on the end of the spring with the mount on the monitor. Does the spring inside the stand have to be tightened a certain number of revolutions before the stand is finally screwed onto the monitor? If so, how many? Chosen Solution My daughter dropped her iPhone 5. Before dropping it, it worked fine except the power button was tricky - had to toggle it backward and down to make it work. After dropping it, when plugged into the charger or a PC, it would show the low battery picture, then the white screen with black apple, then black screen, then repeat with low battery picture. Probably unrealistically hoping the problem could be solved through software, we plugged it into the PC and got it to the connect to iTunes screen....

Attach an external monitor and see if that displays correctly. If it does, you are having issues with either he LVDS connector, the cable or the LCD itself. Chosen Solution Hi all, I bought an iPhone 8 off ebay with a cracked screen with the intention of repairing it. Before I ordered any parts I wanted to take off the screen to verify nothing was missing inside the device. I disconnected the battery and removed the screen and once I had verified all parts were there I reatached the same screen and battery. However, after powering on the device I found that the home button was no longer working and I got a notification saying could not activate touch id on this iPhone....

Chosen Solution Hi I have my son’s iPad mini which has fine horizontal lines at bottom 1/4 (approx.) of screen. It also partially ghosts some of the top of the screen over the bottom area where the horizontal lines are flickering. It is possible it has been dropped however I do not believe there would be water damage. It has a Thule complete covered case so I thought that may have provided some protection against a drop....

Chosen Solution I have a 800Mhz, 256MB Mac OS 10.4.11 iBook G4. I want to split my 30GB hard drive in two, a 27GB block and a 3GB block. How can I do this? Do I use Disk Utility or is there some freeware that partitions hard drives? Once I have the 3GB section I plan to restore it with Ubuntu 6.10, I have tried the install function within the Ubuntu OS but I get stuck at step 5/6, it asks me where I want my mount points for “/” and “swap” to be but no matter what I select, I cannot progress to step 6/6....

Also the computer won’t boot unless I have the external drive attached - which has the copy of my old hard drive . What do I need to do to get the computer to boot up internally? The information within the About this Mac should be correct....
