Chosen Solution I had water damage on my motherboard. Cleaned it up and got everything to work except the backlight. I replaced the LP8550 Driver chip and now I HAVE NO POWER AT ALL :(. Please help. Is it possible I burnt something else out? How do I check? That would indicate bad soldering to me as in you may have some bridged connections under the LP8550. Remove it and see if you have any pads bridged....

Chosen Solution The easiest way to change heater core In most cases you have to tear most of the dash out and remove most of the ventilation duct work. I have seen cars where the owner cut the ductwork out with a saw and replaced the core and then used duct tape to put it back together. I dont advise you do this . Its usually a long and involved job....

Chosen Solution Diagnostics showed You likely have GPU problems with that machine. Those pink lines are NOT normal. These machines are known for GPU failures and the way it failed makes it easy to tell. You got unlucky that it failed, but you also lucked out because anyone who understands the problem knows this is a bad GPU. However, you should verify this by hooking it up to an external display....
