Chosen Solution I tried to add a SSD, to my iMac 21.5 2011. I followed the steps from the guides (iMac Intel 21.5" (Mid 2011) Dual Hard Drive Kit). I din’t have a SATA power cable, so I used a power spitter. I took the power from the HDD and split it to the SSD. The iMac found the SSD and its HDD, but the fans went crazy. The optical drive fan works as it should (I left the thermal sensor)....
Chosen Solution The message Cartridge Error shows on the screen. I have reinstalled new Lexmark cartridges twice and the message will not go away. It printed an alignment page and then the message returns. I consulted the manual and no solution works. My printer is a X6650 all in one printer. Inside the cartridge carrier you will see copper contacts..Take a cotton swab and clean those contacts real good with rubbing alcohol and clean the contacts on the new cartridges....
Chosen Solution I have Verizon FIOS internet service and my computer takes way too long to connect. it takes about 3 minutes to connect up. Your connection should not take more than 2 seconds. First hook up with an ethernet cable to your router and see if the problem persists. If it’s gone then the problem is most likely your modem or antenna. If still slow then contact Verizon and ask them to repair your line or router....
Chosen Solution Over the weekend a friend of mine and his son decided to upgrade Mom’s laptop. They installed Crucial MX 500 1TB SSD and 16 GB of Crucial memory. After completing the upgrade the laptop failed to restart. They tried everything at the Apple support site, and nothing . They undid the upgrade, reinstalled the old parts and the laptop was still DOA. Mind you the laptop was working fine before the fiasco took place....

Without it booting, how do I tell how much memory it already has installed? You would have to open it up and see how much each stick of ram is. There should be a sticker that says like “2gb” or “1gb” on it stuck to the ram....

Try reconnecting the lcd ribbon and also making making sure that the connector pins are intact. If that doesn’t fix it then probably you need a new one. Chosen Solution Hello. The agitator has worn off dog teeth. I couldn’t find proper socket so I temporary fixed it by adding a strip of rubber from old bicycle tube between dogs and agitator’s teeth. When tested manually it only spins top part freely clockwise and catches bottom part when spin counter clockwise - good. However during wash cycle the agitator seems to be just spinning clockwise, without the “stop” motion, as if there is no friction to stop it....

If you are worried about the repair (I would be too, the 3G/3Gs rear panel replacement is very difficult) you can look up a local Apple Certified repair shop on Google who is willing to the repair for you.

Chosen Solution So my GPS and WiFi signals were awful for past 2-3weeks and GPS even got to the point of being unusable. Having read many posts etc, I ordered and set about replacing the WiFi Antenna cover part and the Antenna F Flex cable to my phone, assuming this would work as many others had success with those fixes. Sadly it doesn’t seem to have made any difference at all, in fact even worse as can’t find any WiFi networks at all now, and GPS still shows “no GPS Reception”....

Chosen Solution I’m planning to replace the internal HD in my Powerbook G4 laptop, and already have what I need and instructions from iFixit. This drive cannot currently be recognized or repaired by Disk Utility or Disk Warrior. So I hooked the machine up to an external, which has mostly been working fine for quite awhile. But lately the old internal has been sporadically spinning and making lots of noise. This happens at startup or other times and stops when I close the lid, or just stops on its own....
