Chosen Solution I know on the iPhone 8, you must hit the volume up button, volume down button, then hold the side button until the hard reset begins. I cannot get this to work -it only gives me the option to shut the phone down normally. What should I do? The phone is new and has no other issues. It does take time for it to restart itself. If you hit the Vol Up, Vol Down, and Side Key fast enough you will see the Shut Down do not lift your finger off the side key and after 15-20 secs it should shut down....

The home button is still the original one. Thanks Check both the long home button flex and the short flex on the button itself. Something is broken in that line. It could be a tiny tear in one of the corners or it could be the connectors with a damaged pin....

Chosen Solution The device was working 100% before screen and battery were replaced. After I put the new screen on with all the components the boot time increased (takes around 5 mins now) and the home button along with touch ID don’t work anymore. I checked all the flex cables and they seem all fine and front facing camera works. Tried original battery and screen and the issue still persists. I was told that front camera flex could be the issue but the font camera fully works so can it still be that?...

Chosen Solution I was replacing the screen on my ipod and accidentally tore some of the rubber around the bezel. Can I seal that rip with a little electrical tape to keep the dust and water out? I don’t want to have to remove the screen again and reinstall I don’t think the tape would stay put for long. I’d try a little rubber cement on a toothpick and really get it into the joint....

Chosen Solution How do I fix a coroded camera battery pack @shejskaw, Sheila, If it is the battery pack it self that is corroding, consider replacing it as it could be damaged/leaking, perhaps do a search using your model# for replacement. You can use the link below to open/access the battery compartment/contacts and give them a good cleaning. The eraser end of the ink pen is slightly abrasive and works well, scrub it across the battery contacts, a little work and patience and you should be able to remove the corrosion....

This Teardown has some info on the PSU - refer step 13 The sticker on the power supply has this rating: 3.4V @ 1.75A. I see in the photo there are 8 pins on the PSU socket. Probably 2 sets of 4 pins all joined together for increased current capacity....

Hi, It’s either a faulty part, or you have crimped the digitiser cable causing it to have a dead zone, I would highly recommend getting a replacement part. :-)

Chosen Solution I dropped my iphone 4s and the screen cracked also the battery cover cracked too. The phone will not turn on now tried resetting and plugging it in. I’ve changed screens before but i don’t know if it is worth changing if the problem is major. Our company buys back broken LCDs assemblies and phones from repair shops. We’ve been through thousands of iPhones with this issue. My gut feeling is you have about a 75% chance that it’s a bad LCD digitizer assembly and a 25% chance that the connector on the board is bad or other board related problem....

When I put the battery in, the keyboard lights up. Then if i press and hold the end key, it turns on like usual. Then when it gets to home screen, i cant open anything....

Chosen Solution My ride on mower engine keeps cutting out after 5-10 secs (blades not engaged), but if I engage the blades in the first few seconds it keeps running. Once I’ve been cutting for a few minutes it will keep running with or without the blades being engaged. So frustrating because it takes me about 10 starts to get from the shed to the grass. Anyone any ideas? @kanddgoodwin,Keith, Sounds like it could be a faulty safety deck switch/ wire/plug to the switch, or shorting wire by the deck engagement lever or deck linkages maybe shorting....
