In another questions i’ve read that tej problem may be that i need to replace the thermal paste of the heat sinks, but how do i know that is the problem and not the fan? Chosen Solution Since the MBA, Apple introduced the soldered RAM. I remember someone who tried desoldering it, so he could upgrade it. Now, in the New MBP with Retina display, they did the same. I regret choosing for the 8GB model, because I want to run some Virtual Machines. Is it possible to desolder it, and upgrade the RAM yourself? (even solder the ram again if needed) Can you guys at iFixit maybe try it out?...
Chosen Solution Only a few moments after turning on my VTech Kidizoom Camera Connect it automatically shuts itself off again. How can I go about fixing this problem? First try looking in the battery cartridge to make sure there’s no dirt or debris preventing a good connection, if there is use a Q-tip to remove the debris. Next, try replacing the batteries in your VTech Kidizoom Camera Connect with new ones....
Chosen Solution Hi! I used the tear-down guide to change the the lcd/glass/touch/frame assembly. I had the right tools and was very careful. But the battery gave me problems, the glue held up a good fight. I didn’t know that there was a small control board in the upper part where the connector sits. So i lifted the battery all the way around, and it got a little bent while doing this....
Chosen Solution I purchased a front panel assembly from iFixit. I checked the digitizer out thoroughly and noticed a plastic film over the front of the new digitizer but for the life of me I couldn’t find one on the back. I tried removing what I thought was a clear film but it seemed like I was going to tear something off that I wasn’t supposed to. After replacing the digitizer and removing the front film I notice air bubbles between the digitizer and the LCD....
Chosen Solution I followed these instructions with a new iFixit battery for my early-2013 MBP. It was working fine (other than the battery not holding charge) when I started (it’s all backed up, that’s not the issue, I just want to be able to use this old friend). After reassembly, I connected magsafe to AC, and the machine immediately chimed. However, the screen remains completely black. Here’s what I know: on connection, the magsafe charging led is green, then turns orange; the CapsLock led is active; I can power down (no CapsLock led) and back on (chimes, CapsLock led working) with the power button; I’ve reset SMC and PRAM with the button + powercycle combinations; there’s no signal on the hdmi port (the monitor I connected to does not see a signal); I’ve disassembled and reinserted the display data cable twice (Step 29 in attached instructions)....

Chosen Solution I unplugged the Xbox when it was on standby mode, with the cable on at the wall to quickly use for something else. Then I plugged the Xbox back in with the cable still on at the wall and it made a sparking sound, and a few seconds later the internal power supply started to make buzzing sounds. When pressing the Xbox button, it lights up for about 5 seconds then turns back off again....
Chosen Solution it appears mine was dropped, computer functions fine with the exception if I move screen by hinge, I get momentarily disconnect until I position the screen. You’ve probably broke the hinge from the plastic , If your comfortable taking your laptop apart you can strip it down to the hinge and use jb weld to repair it its a two part epoxy that make a strong fix.

Chosen Solution Hello everyone, My iMac mid 2011 27” makes a ticking sound when starting up, this takes about 10 seconds. When booted I get the message that my HDD cannot be found. It probably broke down after 11 years. I also have a Crucial SSD with my OS installed (High Sierra) from which it boots, so I can still use the computer. Info from this Crucial SSD: M4-CT256M4SSD2 with the SATA protocol....

I should know the answer to this but apparently I don’t: I’ve shipped a lot of 2011 Pros to customers with Sierra, and until very recently they’ve been able to web update to High Sierra. 2011 can’t take Mojave, so now that Mojave is available on the App store, and High Sierra has apparently been removed, these users are stuck on Sierra, and obviously it rejects them when they try Mojave....
Chosen Solution My Husband and I just recently moved into an apartment, all of our dishes were brand new in boxes so before I put them in the cabinet I washed them in the dishwasher. Well the stupid thing would not drain so I called the handy man that works for our building, well he said it was because of the drain filter so he cleaned it (it was already clean, because when we moved in they put in all new appliances) so that fixed the draining issues, but now every time I run the dishwasher it smells absolutely terrible its to the point that I don’t even use it and the apartment guy said it because of the garbage disposal not being ran enough....
Chosen Solution Whenever I turn on my Toshiba laptop the power button led and the two first LEDs on the led panel on the bottom right turn on, but the CPU light (the fourth one on the led panel) only flashes once and does not come on again, and after about a minute of nothing but the CPU fan running, the fan goes to full speed for about 1-10 seconds then the whole laptop shuts off and does this every single time I try to turn it on....

Chosen Solution Hi It is very difficult to hear a phone call from the earpiece speaker on my iphone 6. No problem hearing when switched to speaker mode. Would changing the earpiece speaker solve the problem ??? Thanks. First I would check if the top speaker filter is blocked on either side including the filter on the earpiece speaker itself. To check that you will need to take the screen off and front camera to check....

Chosen Solution Hi So I purchased a MacBook Pro retina 13” 2015 from eBay with no ssd. I purchased a new ssd and an adapter however it’s caused me nothing but issues. the mac won’t recognise the drive internally and only recognised it when I plugged it in using an external enclosure. I then Installed the original Mac OS available from the recovery menu onto the SSD however when I try and install any other Mac OS such as High Sierra or big sur either from a bootable usb or via the App Store on the Mac it tells me it can’t be installed because the drive is missing a firmware update....

Chosen Solution I recently replaced a screen for an iphone six that appeared dead. After closer inspection I realized the screen was still “on” however you could only notice this if you looked really hard in very dark surroundings. After trying two new LCDs the problem has persisted. The touchscreen appears to still work the screen just looks dead and even in a pitch black room you can only hardly tell it’s actually working....
