A lot of these have the very common “bulging capacitor” issue, and that can be fixed fairly easily by someone who knows what they are doing and is good with a soldering iron. You might want to look inside to see if there are any exploded/bulging capacitors, and if so, advertise on CraigsList or elsewhere for a local tech who knows how to replace them....

Chosen Solution The battery in this phone was not lasting even a full day. I’ve successfully replaced the battery with an iFixit replacement. Other posts I’ve seen say that it needs to be “conditioned” - charging to 100%, Restarting the phone with power and Home button pressed until Apple Logo shows. I’ve done this twice now and the phone still shuts off overnight from being 100% charged at 2:00pm. The local repair shop won’t touch it saying the battery is probably damaged and the charging circuit AND the battery would have to be changed out....

Chosen Solution the connections on the logic board were bent and when i tried to bend them back they broke… njw, the only way is by replacing the connector and soldering a new connector in place. This requires some special skills and good tools. unless you have done this kind of work before, I suggest you send it to someone who knows how to microsolder.
