Chosen Solution Hi, I have a 2011 27” iMac with the AMD Radeon HD6770 512MB GPU that stop working properly. I want to change it so I can also get an upgrade with the AMD Radeon HD6970 2GB. I know this card works on my iMac but the heatsink looks larger because the card itself is larger than the HD6770. Do I need to find and replace the heatsink for one that is for the HD6970?...
Chosen Solution Has heating the battery compartment before removing the batteries been considered? Lithium Ions get warm when recharging. Attaching them to the case can also allow the heat to be dissipated to the case. With most adhesives, heat sometimes softens them (for example, the Aircraft epoxy called Epibond 1020 softens at 300F). The question ends up being how far you warm them w/o damaging the case or batteries. Also see if those adhesive strips conduct thermally....

Chosen Solution I have the same issue: external screen works, internal lcd only shows white. I have replaced both lcd screen and the cable. nothing has changed problem persists. Because the external monitor works it’s not your video card or logic board I think it might be your HD. Try to boot into safe mode. Another option is to boot from original disks and run disk utility. Boot with C key while disk in and when you get to the display that shows a menu bar on top, do not start “install” but click on Utilities....
Chosen Solution My laptop fan becomes loud when it’s not on an angle I usually put it in, it sounds like grinding and eventually becomes loud if I tilt it any further. I’ve cleaned my fan and laptop and it’s still happening, I have even began to use a fan-speed controller in the hopes it would help Hi @ysoloud , Have you thought about replacing the fan in case it is mechanically faulty -faulty or loose bearing perhaps?...
Chosen Solution Hey everyone, I recently acquired a broken GBA that initially didn’t turn on at all. After doing all the normal cleaning up corrosion on the battery contacts, unjunking the power switch with IPA etc it now switches on, as indicated by the green LED, but nothing shows on the screen at all. I even hear a bit of noise from the speaker, so I know that works, however, it’s just the bunk sorta sound you hear from turning the console on - there’s no sound from the game or startup sequence....

Chosen Solution So here’s what happened, I tried to install Ubuntu onto my laptop and when I restarted it, well it didn’t detect any OS anymore despite me leaving the USB inside. (It was originally a windows 10) Now whatever I do, it doesn’t detect any USB input, let it be a USB keyboard, mouse or drive. The only thing I have access to is my BIOS. It doesn’t seem like my laptop still has an OS and it refuses to do anything else....
Chosen Solution Hello all. I recently replaced my screen with the one that I bought from this site. Everything seemed to go well enough, no nicked ribbon cables or anything. However, after replacing the screen and booting the phone up, my home button only has some of its functions. The phone has even automatically given me the artificial home button on the screen, because the phone knows there’s something wrong. It still recognizes my touch ID and I can even sometimes wake the phone up with the home button, although there’s no “click” from the tap engine....

Chosen Solution I am using Japanese 3G vita (PCH-1100) and I was going to replace the 3G networking card that shipped from Europe. (to elimate SIM Lock.) but unlike other reigon vita’s, mine have a two of Torx T2 screw is tighten in 3G card. so i bought dirt-cheap T2 screwdriver from local store and this thing stripped the screw :( how can i take out this stripped T2 screw? I tried rubber band method / soldering screwdriver to screw / put loctite 401 to screw head and stick screwdriver in to stripped head but none of this trick worked....

Chosen Solution I have a S20FE and checking out the specs online, it looks like it may have a built in FM IC and is capable of receiving local radio signals when using headphones as the antenna. However, it’s apparently just locked in certain countries. Like my phone has the hardware in it, but not the software capable to run it. I’ve spent plenty of time looking online for various things I could do to activate this like downloading an apk to install the missing software but nothing seems to be working....
