Chosen Solution I purchased a replacement motherboard (v 1.4) and have installed this according to the procedure shown in this guide. The motherboard powers on, the fan spins as it should but there is no display showing. I have tried reinstalling the RAM and re-booting but no luck . The display still does not show. Does you have any suggestions? I am at a loss at the moment. Its turned out to be a faulty motherboard....

Chosen Solution Are these chargers “dumb”, as in, they only supply power to their devices, or do they run some kind of firmware? If the latter is true, is this firmware modifiable? Technically, all USB devices are smart with their own micro-controller. Older USB devices did offer direct power services for older cellphone and like devices. USB-C also offers this as well for low end devices. Modern cellphones and computers that offer quick charge technology need to communicate with the charger....

Chosen Solution Does opening the 5K iMac to modify drive capacity, etc. void the warranty? Since the screen has to be cut into to get it off, I would say yes unless done by an ASP or Apple store. The only thing that it considered user upgradable on this model is the RAM. I could be wrong but I wouldn’t bet my warranty on it. It does not. If Apple can prove that when you opened up the case something got broke and you were the cause of it then yes ....

Chosen Solution After I have pulled the clothes out of the washer the tub appears dry but I will leave the lid open to allow it to completely dry - as suggested by the manufacturer. Here lately I go back to shut the lid and there will be droplets of water in the tub; not very much, but where is it coming from and does something need to be fixed?...

Chosen Solution I just purchased this Gateway dx series desk top computer and was downloading information disk for my printer and external hard drives . Everything was going great until I downloaded my kodak camera disk . When I restarted my computer the information from Kodak came up in about 4 different windows . After closing the windows I tried installing my printer disk and got no response at all. I checked my “hardware” and the DVD rom drive was no longer registering on my computer....

Chosen Solution When rotating the headphone cables, audio disconnects. But only with SOME cables. I have a bunch of cable that I tested, and it seems like the sturdier the plug (newer), the better the connection is (it doesn’t disconnect when rotating, some are just fine !) After I rebooted I ran the diagnostics and got an error of 2000-0146 on the HDD. I was hoping for help in recovering this at least long enough to get my files off without having to replace the HDD. If I open any app, I can see a series of small rectangular semi-translucent gray boxes on the screen, in something of a T formation across the width at the top, and along the length down the center. Chosen Solution I pulled the power cord by mistake. After powering up again a file folder/? began flashing. Apple support could not help. Genius bar had a few costly suggestions. I viewed the tutorial for removing the hard drive. I can do that. Can I recover data from this drive? Is vantech something that would do the job? What replacement drive would you recommend? Chosen Solution Let me tell you my problem, I personally use the late 2011 13 inch mbp and have replaced hdd to ssd, 16 gigs of 1600 mhz ram and applied arctic mx4 freshly. Now I find little improvement in cooling and very good improvement in performance due to the huge upgrade. But however when I use cinebench or other cpu hungry process, the CPU hits 98-100 celsius with fans going beserk....

Chosen Solution I am having a problem with my iPad. The home button clicks in but doesn’t register. This happens every time I come home at night and it doesn’t happen at a specific time. It may take like 30 minutes for the home button to work again and maybe in the morning to find out it doesn’t work again.
