Chosen Solution Is LCD ruined for sure? I used cool air on my hair dryer to dry outside portals but I forgot to shut the phone off. Could I have ruined my LCD for certain? To find out, should I put the phone in rice for 24 hours, then see if the screen works? Hi, As you know water and electronics and electricity are not a good mix. The water causes corrosion and provides circuit paths for the electricity which were not in the phone’s operating design and could damage the components....

Chosen Solution I dropped my samsung galaxy s5 around a month ago, I could still see the edges at first and it was slightly responsive to my touch for around an hour or so, but now it is completely black. There is only one faint hairline crack on it. Would I require a screen replacement or it it something inside of the phone that has screwed up? And how expensive would this typically be?...

Chosen Solution I have fixed 3 iPhone 7 plus screens and every time I do this the ear ear Speaker stops working, the camera and sensors still work just the ear Speaker. I have also done repairs on 7’s and it works there is no problem? Does anyone know what this could be? I’m being very gentle when I do this I’m not sure what’s wrong Figured it out.. make sure to heat up before moving front cam and proximity sensor there is a black adhesive that needs to stay on its covers some little gold connectors those need to stay covered so keep it on or put a new black adhesive...

Chosen Solution Hi there, I recently replaced my MBP 2019 16” screen assembly with a genuine new part. It works, including the camera. However 3 features do not work. The true tone feature for the display, the ambient light sensor and the backlight for the keyboard. All other features work as expected. Would anyone have any ideas/experience around this? I fear it is due to the T2 ship intentionally degrading functionality....

Chosen Solution Will the Item number: 2015 4K iMac screen replacement (IF173-048-1) work in the iMac Retina 4K, 21.5” 2017? There are a few differences with the assembly, I wouldn’t swap them out. Chosen Solution Hi there. A few weeks ago I spilled some water on my MacBook Pro’s (Mid 2010 17’) keyboard and touchpad. Unfortunately it stopped booting up, so I went to the Genius Bar where I was told that it would be cheaper to buy a new Mac instead of replacing the motherboard, keyboard, touchpad and who knows what else. I gave up for a few weeks, not touching the laptop in hope that it will dry out and miraculously start working again....

Chosen Solution My daughter’s Furby just started to make this cracking noise with every word it says. Also the Furby’s moving very quietly and not moving back and forward (at all). Usually when the Furby goes to sleep, it will bend forward. Also the its ears (sometimes) are not moving forward when going to sleep. When the Furby is awake, it will last like 1 minute and its eyes will light off (and will go to sleep)....

Chosen Solution This is a tiny little metal shield or something like that, about 5mm long and 2mm wide maybe. It is shown in one of the tiny screwdriver bit slots in the plastic tray that the tools come in, if that helps. Sorry about the crappy phone photo that I took with a clip-on close-up lens. The part came out of the phone somehow while I was doing the battery replacement procedure and trying to get the phone apart....

Chosen Solution This is related to the power adapter breaking off int the DC in port. The toothpick thing didn’t work for me, but I did the step by step repair, replaced the part with one from iFixit. New adapter charges the battery just fine, but now my hard drive is acting weird. Booted up once in 20 tries. Got ? folder other times. Tiger install DVD using System Profiler sees something on the ATA sometimes, but no drive size or anything....

Chosen Solution I changed the screen following the fixit guides and now my screen is whitish pink and flickering with grey horizontal lines!!! Try a Reset, hold both Home and Power buttons until the iPhone restarts on its own. If fixed great. If not…. Then carefully open iPhone and reseat Flex Cable #1 the LCD display flex cable. When working on an iPhone 3GS make sure it is OFF during all repairs....

Chosen Solution So, I am having a very hard time trying to find an optical drive flex cable for my old iMac. It’s an A1200, last of the white Macs. Of course Apple decided to change the flex cable for this model, making it different than the rest, so I can only seem to find results for the smaller models anymore. What I want to know is if anyone here knows where I can find this cable, as without it, it really sets the computer back because I can’t do a lot of things without it ie....

Chosen Solution I bought a storage unit. Inside was a computer with a bios password. It’s a Toshiba p55w-c5200. I’m trying to locate the jumper pads on the motherboard to reset the bios password. Chosen Solution i had to replace the home button on my iphone 7. got a 3rd party button on ebay that looks exactly like the kind sold here on ifixit. the home button function works great, Touch ID does not (as expected). i recently upgraded IOS from 15.1 to 15.7 that’s when the weirdness started. after the upgrade the Assistive Touch (on-screen) Home Button was turned on. i’d turn it off, but it would just turn itself on again....

Chosen Solution I had recently removed the digitizer on my iPad Air, but the device was stuck with no touch, and I wish to reset it. How could I put the device into recovery mode, but with no home button, as the connector was snapped off of the board when I replaced the digitizer at an earlier time. Just download recboot software.

Chosen Solution I replaced the digitizer on 2017 iPad and want to know if I can also swap out the home buttons? The big one, is the Air 1 digitizer cross-compatible?. Also, check here. I haven’t confirmed this personally so caveat emptor. Answer: yes. The original iPad Air Digitizer works as a replacement. Be careful when removing the cracked or bad digitizer as the home button comes off in the same way that the original Air does....

Chosen Solution My iPod 5th generation (video) got soaked with Gatorade. dried it and let it dry in the sunand in bag of rice and also in dehydrator for a day. Now it wont turn on unless it is plugged into wall charger. Is it battery which is damaged or shorted? Should I disassemble it to clean it? How and what should I clean and with what. Chosen Solution After I repaired my sister’s iphone 6 lighting port the audio from the headphone jack only comes through the right side and not the left. How do I repair this? Chosen Solution my 2000 jeep wrangler 4.0 hard to start and really rough idle and when you give it gas it will die out can anyone help me please Start by checking for engine codes . this is the quickest way to diagnose a problem . there could be an issue with the fuel or air input regulated by the MAP or MAF sensors or oxygen sensors . If any of these are out it can affect how the vehicle runs....
