Chosen Solution My Macbook has randomly lost its laptop display. The display remains dark, including the apple logo on the back. I have connected an external display to it, and the computer still functions correctly. I have reset the PRAM many times, along with trying to “reset” it back into single screen mode. Based on another question I saw on this forum I tried shining a light through the computer, and did not see any indication of the LCD displaying anything....

Chosen Solution I dropped my phone yesterday and now Face ID doesn’t work. I would replace the sensors and everything, but would it be like the touch ID on phones with home buttons where touch ID stopes working? Yes, unfortunately the FaceID is locked from the original front camera assembly to the original logic board. This means any replacement parts may still function correctly, but without the biometric features. You can try factory resetting the phone after a back-up to see if that recovers the FaceID on original device but not too likely…

Chosen Solution Hello, I installed a new OWC 1T SSD chip and another 1T SSD to replace the HDD on my iMac. I also touched on the CPU & GPU area to clean and reapply the thermal paste (now I wish I didn’t) At first, it had 1 LED on, and the device didn’t power on. After some research, I changed the PRAM battery and rechecked the CPU area, and I found a small bent on the edge of the CPU....

Chosen Solution So basically my hdmi port for my ps4 doesn’t work anymore.. A long time ago I had my phone connected to my ps4, and without recognition i pulled my phone and the ps4 fell. The pins had been loose for a long time until recently some broke off. My dad and I decided to replace the port. We have completely took everything apart and now have just the motherboard, we tried soldering the hdmi port off but it didn’t seem to work....

Chosen Solution From a cold start the CPU (Dual 1.25GHz) temperature rises until it reaches over 50°C in about 40 minutes, when the G4 freezes. The HD remp also rises steadily to 35°C. I have to press the start button to shut it down. I have cleaned all dust and fluff out of the machine, checked that all fans are working and replaced the heat sink grease and still it happens....

Chosen Solution Repairing a galaxy note 4 and cannot get the phone to work at all. I’ve changed the battery, the screen, and the motherboard. The phone will not power on, no lights come on, doesn’t vibrate when plugged into charger. It doesn’t absolutely nothing. One or all three of those repairs should give me a working phone, but I get nothing. Any ideas? It can very well be that your dock connector was broken and everything else really worked....

Can you see the screen in a well-lit room? If so, you might just be experiencing expected behavior. It’s not incredibly uncommon for people to buy the screen from a newer Gameboy and swap it in to make these old consoles more playable....

But, when I try to access other features - the screen displays noise for a few seconds, then goes back to live image. Chosen Solution I have a Dell latitude d620 and sometimes when i press the power button the three keyboard buttons are flashing and nothing else happens! no signal at the lcd, no nothing! Any ideas? Update i forgot to say that sometimes it starts up correctly… i read about damaged cpu or motherboard but it works nice when it opens… One of the memory modules could be bad. Dell Latitude D620 has hidden memory module under the keyboard....

Chosen Solution I was doing a iPad 2 LCD and glass replacement when the glass was sticking super strong…in the process of removing the glass it tore something near the home button I will attach a pic. It just tore where the bolts had it screwed down. Is this still good or will it need replaced? Can I just put some adhesive behind it and stick it back down? That Wi-Fi antenna physically looks good from the photo but you should also check a bit more of the cable under the LCD, if it looks okay, it’s okay but you can check when you test install the new digitizer the Wi-Fi reception if it’s weak or not....

Chosen Solution Always something going wrong with this machine! :-( Now- Door won’t open, has a load of dirty clothes inside. Chime’s with 2E error code. Sometimes switches to LO and LE error codes. Can anyone help to at least unlock it so I can get the clothing out??? PLEASE HELP!! Prentice, try pressing the Start/Pause button to disengage the lock. If it won’t unlock, try shutting the power off, then cycling the power to the machine by unplugging it for 30 seconds then plugging it back in or turning the circuit breaker off then on again....

Chosen Solution I have an ezgo cart with a robin 295cc motor 1 cyl has 150lbs compression the other had 70. put oil in each cyl. and compression went up Suggestions please. Thank you @asherboyak ,Rick , the low compression cylinder may be able to be honed and new rings(MAYBE), Usually the engine would be torn down completely and rebuilt. Some of the small engine shops have a scope/camera that they can put in the spark plug hole to see wear/damage/etc....

When I first plugged it in I noticed smoke coming form under the heatsink so I took it off and started inspecting, which didn’t take long because I found some exposed copper staring me in the face. IDE technology is very dated with the introduction of SATA… however you could easily find a replacement IDE drive on ebay from an older laptop… in this case though you must use recovery discs or install a new OS

Chosen Solution So I bout this iPhone “won’t turn on” figured an easy fix… tried other options before cracking it open, no luck. figured a batter would fix, upon breaking it open I find this!!! Suggestions? That’s just a scratch, nothing to worry about. Below that black sheathing is a metal shield. It’s there to sink heat from the CPU and conveniently protects the components underneath. What this does show instead is that someone else was poking around inside the device so it’s hard to say what was and wasn’t done....
